This was a great movie. However, the plot is too much like that of other movies. It's like a mix between Armageddon, Men of Honor, and The Perfect Storm. Kevin Costner was terrific, and it seems Ashton Kutcher is trying to become a real actor, comparable to his role in Butterfly Effect. (Maybe he's taking lessons from Demi.) This movie was for the US Coast Guard, obviously. It's too bad that only about 60% of the real US Coast Guard are like the ones in the movie. The rest are too busy riding around in speed boats trying to catch drug trafficers, while someone a mile away is drowning. The US Coast Guard should watch this and take note. This film also reminds me of the real life show Deadliest Catch. Those men risk their lives just as much, if not more, than the US Coast Guard. All in all, this was still a great movie, very entertaining with a great ending. I highly recommend it, (especially to sea lovers.) Also, if you like this film, The Perfect Storm and Men of Honor are great films too, if you haven't seen them by now.

This movie really brings out what it means to be in a life or death situation. The roles played by Kevin Costner and Ashton Krucher are excellent. They bring the characters to life in way that no one else could. The training that Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers get can only be vital in a life saving situation, and this movie brings that to the screen. It also shows what being part of a team is, and what it means when one of the team is lost. I highly recommend this movie for everyone.

I really wasn't expecting this movie to be as good as it was. I was pleasantly surprise to find that I really liked the film. Disney has released this one with great video and audio quality, which seems pretty par for the course for Disney. I would definitely suggest checking it out, you may be surprised to find a good film here, just as I was.

I liked this movie despite my dislike for Ashton Kutcher. It had an interesting plot and OK acting. This movie is absolutely a Blu-Ray movie. The scenes in the water during rescues and chopper scenes need to be watched in Blu-Ray to feel the whole effect of the movie.

This is agood movie, but reminded me of another movie, Backdraft (with Kurt Russell) and yet it was still a good movie. A very dramatic movie, that surprised me that "Kelso" could pull off some of the intense scene
