Not really my type of movie but boyfriend wanted it Good acting .. good movie if u like western types.

I could've gone without the first 30 to 45 minutes of this movie, but other than that it was awesome. It takes a while for the action to start, but once it does...it's non-stop. In typical Tarantino fashion, there are multiple flashbacks, a bunch of foul language, and A TON of blood. Samuel L. Jackson is great in this film. The only thing that disappointed me was that the director didn't make his usual cameo.

The Hateful Eight, while long, still manages to be very entertaining, has outstanding performances, tensionfilled scenes, and sharp dialogue by Tarantino, and the blu-ray quality is perfection, the cinematography is gorgeous and the sound quality is fantastic, along with an outstanding soundtrack by the legend, Ennio Morricone, and for the steelbook collectors, the art on the steelbook is beautiful and is a fine addition, and is definitely a must buy on blu-ray.

For movie goers that enjoy Quentin Tarantino, this is another success! He basically has the whole movie set in one cabin in the middle of nowhere, that people are stuck at due to a blizzard. It is an interesting story, good acting, and not to spoil things, but it is a Tarantino movie... expect blood, death, and more blood. This movie deserved the praise it got during the awards season of 2016. Enjoy it!

Tarantino does it again with his style and his flare with very interesting characters catchy dialogue mystery thrown in if you haven’t seen this film do yourself a favor and check it out and if you can try looking for the extended version better than this unfortunately . Best Buy does not carry it but This version is still good nonetheless

I'm a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino's films this not bad far better than Drango Unchained. It got a wrap dor being to political but when watching it you have to remember the time period just after the civil war and tensions were still high. The actibg is good but by no means is this Pulp Ficton. It was nice to see some of the actors from Tarantino's past film on screen together it made it more enjoyable I thoght.

Probably Tarantino's worst. Kind of boring. Just bought to complete Tarantino collection.

I love Tarantino and his movies. I almost feel like he can do NO wrong. This movie helps that theme continue. Even though the movie is basically a wild west Reservoir Dogs, full of his usual exuberant violence..it's a bit predictable. BUT the all star cast and amazing acting leaves me to enjoy it nonetheless. It might not be Pulp Fiction, but it is still a GREAT movie that I will watch time and time again.

Good movie with a solid plot woven together like a typical Tarantino hit. Just when you think you know what's coming, you're surprised by where the story goes. Definitely not a family friendly movie but if you despise political correctness, speech police and the "woke" crowd, you'll love this movie.

Not Tarantino's best but Classic Tarantino nonetheless. Solid writing, amazing cinematography and more than able cast are Hateful Eight's strong points. My primary rub with the film is its excruciatingly overlong first hour. Was this film designed as an exercise in restraint, or perhaps has Tarantino become so confident in the appeal of his brand that he knows the audience is guaranteed to wait it out?

This movie did get mixed reviews. I love all of Tarantino's movies. His latest may not be his greatest but overall great to watch. Never bored watching what is going on in this film. Lots of great dialog that chews up the scenery & keeps the story going. Never a dull moment even though most of the movie takes place at a stagecoach rest stop. The best thing about The Hateful Eight is Samuel L. Jackson.

This is another great Tarantino film. He is one of my all time favorite directors so I knew what to expect. It's the type of movie that gets better and better with repeat viewings. If you aren't a fan of his previous movies then you won't like this. If you are a fan of his previous movies then you will love this. It isn't his best movie, but that doesn't mean it's bad. He just makes great films. Also this film is not suitable for children.

This movie was awesome. Had some Pulp Fiction flare to it. Story was great. No stone was left unturned...until the ending. lol. Sam Jackson. Thats all there is to it. Sam Jackson. And Kurt Russell was also great. A lot of funny moments from him. Every moment in this movie is interesting. Never dull. Worth every penny. My wife and I watched this 3 consecutive times on the date of purchase.

By watching it I can already tell a lot of people will say it's boring because nothing happens and they talk a lot but to get to the climax and the killing there HAS to be character development, which happens at the beginning and half of the movie, having said that the end and climax is so rewarding, and the movie has memorable characters, it is certainly NOT the best Tarantino movie, but it is ONE of the best, I highly recommend it.

How can anyone be so hateful with such a cinematically beautiful film? As one expects from a Tarantino film, "The Hateful Eight" is an over-the-top bloodbath, humorous in its depravity. However, it's mostly well-acted (ahem! Channing Tatum) with an engaging and unconventional mystery -- so hopefully one can excuse the Tarantinine excesses. It's good entertainment and purdy to look at, so I recon it's worth your while.

The Hateful Eight falls under so many different categories. Its a western, a thriller, a drama, an isolation movie, but the only thing that carries weight is that The Hateful Eight is an amazing movie. When first hearing about this film, I could not wait for its release in theaters and I was not disappointed after finally seeing it in 70mm. I cannot recommend this movie enough, and it makes a great gift as well.

Just as Reservoir Dogs had the warehouse, Hateful 8 has Minnie's, where nothing is as it seems, Tarantino makes a tense, gory character driven story in his usual manner. The soundtrack brings the speakers to life and makes full use of the surround speakers. The picture is very bright and crisp. You may want to turn your brightness down if you're watching at night. The snow scenes are nearly blinding in low light.

Extra-widescreen cinema is beautifully filmed. The level of violence is a little more gratuitous than I generally prefer, but the quality of the production and performance is first-rate. I would suggest that you don't start forming any emotional attachments to the characters in this film.

If you are not into story telling movies which drag then this isn’t for you. I enjoyed it.

Not as good as "Django Unchained", and no where near as good as "Pulp Fiction". Here is what I would suggest to anyone that wants to watch this movie. Start watching, and at 3 minutes and 18 seconds, close your eyes. Count to 15, and then open your eyes and finish watching the movie. Why? Because someone is shown in the credits, and it will distract you from the rest of the movie.
