Just not a fan, and this piece of garbage solidified my unlike for his films.

Very slow moving movie. Lots of violence and gore. Language was terrible.

this was Quinton's eight movie I've hated WTF Quinton!

Great movie full of suspense and comedy and action

I get Tarantino. He takes bad films we caught on late night TV or in the dollar cinema that had the greatest posters and ad campaigns, fueled our pubescent imagination, and turns them into everything we wanted it to be. That said, The Hateful Eight is a greater tribute to the spaghetti westerns of yore than his Django which was more black exploitation cinema. Add, to that a near great cast. I'm saying "near," because it is clearly evident that Tim Roth's character was written more for Christoph Waltz. Other than that, some over the top violence, and a vomit scene that was too long and graphic, it is splendidly Tarantino. Unfortunately, this is not the road show version. No matter what anybody says, there is a difference. But, waiting for that to come out may be like waiting for Tarantino to finally release Kill Bill: the Whole Bloody Affair on Blu.

One of my very favorite movies, All star cast great plot !!

First, it looks crystal clear on bluray, filmed in 70mm it looks stunning. The beginning establishes characters to a T, the writing and performances are consistently high quality. This becomes BLOODY. Don't let the trailers fool you, this is a Tarantino movie to the max. Dialogue is snappy and well developed, and there will be gore along with cynical humor. The performances are one big reason to see it. Russell, Goggins, and Jackson are all at the top of their game. But it is Jennifer Jason Leigh who gives the most outstanding performance, and even if you don't love the movie, she is the reason you should consider it.
