Fantastic artwork on the front cover, fits very well with some of the other Tarantino steels. Video quality is through the roof, thanks mostly to the choice to film in Ultra Panavision 70. The picture transfers very well to Blu-Ray, shines through like you're standing right there, especially the outdoor scenes. My only gripe is the lack of special features, but the 2 that are featured are pretty decent, so not really a deal-breaker. All-in-all, very worthwhile steel to add to the collection.

If you are a Tarantino fan, you will not be disappointed. Saw the Roadshow Version of this film in theaters (what an amazing experience). Whenever one of QT's films come out on DVD/Blu-Ray, it is absolutely essential to purchase & add to my collection. The only negative aspect of my purchase was the fact that there were no more STEELBOOK versions available at my local store. I bought it early in the afternoon on the Tuesday when it came out. Something tells me that some (insert expletive here) came in and bought out all the STEELBOOKS. Otherwise, very happy with my purchase. The movie is excellent!

If you are a fan of Quentin Tarantino's films, you will likely enjoy The Hateful Eight. I did not think it was his strongest film, but it was very enjoyable. Unlike Django Unchained, which evolved into a traditional shoot-em-up western, The Hateful Eight plays more like a murder mystery which takes place mostly in one room. If you are a Tarantino fan, you will definitely want to check this film out.

This movie is about a group of bounty hunters trying to outsmart one another while finding shelter in a blizzard. As far as Tarantino movies go, this is on par with his trademark style. Darkly funny, intelligently written, and well-executed plot twists. The version I picked up at Best Buy was the exclusive steelbook version. I find these exclusive packaging highly collectible and they look really good on the shelf.

It was pretty good! You definitely receive what you expect from one of Quinton's movies, but I feel that it was a bit pedestrian at times. I do believe that their was mastery in introducing characters into the plot and it did not lack shock value. It definitely stands up to its "R" rating. I would not suggest children watch based on the subject matter.

I really enjoyed this movie. It has great outdoor scenery shots. I just wish my TV was a better quality to enjoy the scenery more. As I was watching it it it reminded me of a Agatha Christie movie called "10 Little Indians". It really had me going, on what was going to happened next. And if you like plenty of blood and guts you'll get that also.

If you love Quentin Tarantino's past films, you will love this one. Tarantino is right at home in the western genre, setting up numerous tense, dialogue-driven scenes in this film. Kurt Russell, Samuel L Jackson, and Jennifer Jason Leigh (along with pretty much everyone else here) are fantastic, but I think Walton Goggins as Chris Mannix stole the show

This film by Quentin Tarantino has a few twists and turns but overall leads itself into an enjoyable film. It will make you laugh and as worried about who will backstab whom next as much as the characters themselves. Plus it comes in an exclusive steelbook that is awesome, and will put a pop to any collection.

I have been a fan of Tarantino since Reservoir Dogs. I have his entire directorial movies on Blu-ray and I obviously had to own The Hateful Eight. It is a much watch that keeps you guessing up until the end. My only gripe is that it could have wrapped up to the end a bit sooner but hey it's Tarantino.

If you like Tarantino movies, you'll enjoy this one. It's slow here and there and it's almost 3 hours long but it's still a great movie. It has a lot of racial slurs just like Django unchained but don't let that bother you. I can't wait to see it again when ever I have a chance!

Quality entry in the Tarantino collection. Amazing dialogue, performances, camera work, sound design, soundtrack, and a whole slough of twists and turns. Classic old school mystery + western + thriller (a la The Thing). Fire this beauty up and let the experience wash over you for a few hours!

This movie is fantastic, the dialugue is what you expect from QT, the acting is outstanding and the cinematography is unbelievable. You'll love it.

I didn't see the Hateful Eight before I purchased it. I'm just a Tarantino fan, that has come to expect a certain quality from his films. Expect dark humor, loads of dialogue(the Tarantino way), exciting visuals, and as always an outstanding soundtrack from Ennio Morricone.

Just something about a Tarantino and Jackson together that makes these movies so great to watch. Its the typical crew that Tarantino likes to work with with Jackson in the lead role and as always the great action that comes to follow.

Got this in the mail on the 26th! Movie is insanely badass! The steelbook is a nice touch too :) Overall I'm glad I purchased this and I definitely recommend to any Tarantino fan!

i mean come on, he makes amazing pieces of cinematic beauty, and this is no different, add in the timeline stuff he always uses and place it in a small confined place with amazing performers, havent been let down by quentin yet.

Crazy, racist, bloody, foul language and a good twisting plot, definitely went to see this in the theater. If you've ever seen a Tarantino movie before not much here is out of his norm. Good movie

I really like Quentin's movies in general. And even love some of them. This wasn't a horrible movie, and the suspense here was taunt & built well. But there are a few things I didn't care for. The voice-over narrative that just pops out of nowhere in certain points in the film (Wha..? Seemed kind of lazy. It disseminated info, but it felt out of place & distracted from the feel of film). Also didn't care for the other "surprise" that pops up near the end without any previous hint. But I did like the letter. :-) In the end, I don't feel compelled to rewatch this.

Fantastic movie. It has the dialogue and banter that you would expect from a Quentin Tarantino film. The Blu ray has a 5 star transfer and sound. One of his best.

The artwork is really well done and the case is well made. The movie is pretty good and even though I'm not a Tarantino fan, I appreciated it.
