Having missed this in the theater, I jumped at this when it was released. BD picture and sound are perfect. Curious about the 70mm version in the steelbook case but this was still a worthwhile purchase. A very ambitious story and a compelling cast of characters with some old faces from past Tarantino films. Don't miss it.

S.L. Jackson really delivers in this movie. Quentin T. is a genus. His character development and pace of his story telling is remarkable. I enjoyed every single moment of this emotional adventure. The best part about this movie is the connection every single character added to this cinematic masterpiece. I hope there are more movies to come by Q.T.

I actually didn't catch the movie in the theater but being a longtime Tarantino fan, I just needed to decide which version of The Hateful Eight on Blu-ray I was going to get. I am a fan of steelbooks and once again, Best Buy delivered. Beautiful packaging with the cover I hoped to get. Keep up the good work with the exclusive steelbooks and I'll keep buying.

The Hateful Eight marks the 8th movie from director Quentin Tarantino, and it is an absolute joy. Same fare as you'd expected from QT: Violent, talky but all in all a great story. Definitely one for the collection. The steelbook is just so pretty; if you can pick one up, get on it!

If you are a fan of QT, you pretty much know what to expect. Great performances, great script, and a lot of violence. This one doesn't disappoint. Plus, we get it all wrapped up in a beautiful steelbook. It will look good next to my Django Unchained one.

I recently watched an interview with the writer/producer of this film, so I knew in advance where his head was and what he wanted to see in the audience reaction. Well, he got it. I was completely immersed in the story, loved the actors, and while it may be too graphic for some, I think it was a very intellectually smart piece of cinema.

I got the privilege to watch the film in 70mm when it was released and was hoping that the bluray would be the same but sadly it isn't. In any case, this film is AMAZING. Blew me away, definitely my favorite Tarintino film and that's saying something since I love Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained. Definitely pick this one up, you won't be disappointed!

I am a Tarantino fan, so I naturally liked this movie. If it is your cup of tea, then I highly recommend this steelbook edition. Great exclusive artwork and reasonably good finish....I would have preferred some embossing and gloss finish, but this is still good. However, it was limited in number and difficult to get one. Overall, very happy with it!

If you love any of Qs movies you know what to expect: a character driven ultraviolent film that mimics a traditional genre. In this case Tarantino takes spaghettti westerns and amps up the gore. In many ways it reminded me of "Reservoir Dogs" with a western twist. The only fault is that it could feel slow at times.

Nice movie. If you like westerns, this one is for you.

I like Tarantino, I like Kurt Russell, I like Samuel L. Jackson, I like Tim Roth, so I had a lot to like before I even watched the film. A good cast, a good story, western/mystery, Tarantino violent, less action than previous films. The pace is slow but interesting, good actors who work well together. I liked it.

If you are old enough to remember the Wild Bunch by Sam Peckinpah, then this film is very similar in style. This is another classic by Tarantino whose films usually include a lot of graphic violence. The film has a few twists and turns, so the ending is not predictable. There are not many westerns made, but this is one for your video library.

In my experience of movie talk, people either love our hate Tarantino. The gratuitous violence and gore and excessive cursing can be off-putting to some, but if you like Tarantino flicks, you'll like this one. Stories within stories and clever dialog make this a western version of Reservoir Dogs. Enjoy!

Good movie for an older audience!! Most people have a hard time appreciating the expertise of a QT movie. Check what you are getting into before you spend the 3 hours watching. The movie does slow down in parts, but the acting is so good it didn't bother me. Walton Goggins stole the show, funny talented actor.

My Husband & I Can Not Stand Any Quentin Tarantino Movie No Matter What Big Name Celebrities He Has In Them But Something Has Changed With Him The Hateful Eight Was A Very Entertaining, Suspenseful, Great Acting And Writing Movie I've Seen In Awhile I Hope He Keeps This New Style Of Movie Making Coming In And Will Become Part Of His Fan Club.

Quinten is infatuated with his own voice. While that is no surprise, many know that patience is quite the reward. The film has a long setup, but Quentin does not disappoint. While "8" doesn't have the strength of Pulp Fiction or the characters of Kill Bill or Inglorious, it delivers the goods none the less.

Twenty-three years after Reservoir Dogs, Tarantino has delivered his most intimate film since that auspicious debut. The Hateful Eight is a parlour-room epic, an entire nation in a single room, a film steeped in its own filminess but at the same time vital, riveting and real. Only Tarantino can do this, and he’s done it again.

It's an old Western style thriller. As a fan of all of Quentin Tarantino's work, picking this up was a must for me. Featuring a great cast of characters, and all the action and bloodshed we've come to expect from Tarantino, this is a must own. Things start off a little slow as characters are introduced, but this train quickly picks up steam.

I’m not much for 5 star reviews, but it would feel wrong to rate this anything else. Picture quality-excellent. Sound- excellent. Dialogue heavy and one of my favorite movies. If you enjoyed this movie, there’s no reason not to own this version.

Q must be in love with the western because this is his second in a row after Django: Unchained. Everything that is expected is in this movies. Crazy characters, superb acting, awesome dialog, great cinematography of the west, and a cool retro like spaghetti western soundtrack. Another masterpiece.
