    Although not the best of the hobbit movies, the extended editions always make the movies better. Great picture and sound.

    I enjoyed the first two installments of this series, but it seems that this one was a little rushed for my taste. (Example, the she-elf grieving for Kili is shown very briefly with no mention of what happened to her, etc). There was also an over-use of computer generated effects. I know this is a given for the director and these films, but it seemed more noticeable and less life-like than his previous films.

    The extended edition makes the movie so much better than the original. Extra content is the same quality as the first two.
