    Peter Jackson's return to Middle Earth is not without its faults, but the story is well represented and acted. Definitely recommend.

    such a good film. the story sets up nicely for the final part of the new trilogy. the 3d is superb and the DTS-HD MA track is audacious!

    One of the best movies of 2013. It was better than the 1st Hobbit movie. And the best movie I've seen from The Lord of the Rings series.

    For the second in the series, this DVD is pretty good. I'm not thrilled with how the story is broken up, but overall still really good.
