    I am a HUGE fan of the LOTR movies. I can't say enough good things about them, from the casting, acting, cinematography, special effects, epic story....everything. The Hobbit is just not up to par. I was actually bored, which is consistent with my experience with the book

    It was fun to see scenes that were actually from the book, but the fluff that Jackson added is still too much to excuse. I would say if you have grown up reading and loving the book, watch the extended edition once, but that is about it.

    It was a OK movie. I had high expectations for this movie, namely seeing Smaug, however Jackson made out to be a joke. I did not like Smaug's voice. The movie does look amazing on blu ray though. Should probably just wait for the extended edition coming out in November.
