    The action and pacing is much better compared to "An Unexpected Journey." Even if you don't like the story liberties taken by Peter Jackson, you cannot deny his craftsmanship as a filmmaker.

    If one takes it for what it is (an entertainment option via movie) and not a strict adaptation from the book, it's a great option. Acting, cinematography, and special effects are first rate.

    Awesome addition to Lord of the ring! If you have that collection, then you are gonna want to have The Hobbit videos which prequel the stories leading to The Lord of the Ring! Excellent!
