I'm a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films and these extended cuts of the film are more of a great thing.

Peter Jackson is a true fan of J.R.R. Tolkien, no one can dispute that. But the direction he took the story did not add anything to the film. In fact, it took away from the amazing story Tolkien has already given us. Still enjoyed the film for the most part, just wish they would have stayed closer to original material.

I enjoyed the first in the series. As soon as the price dropped, I pulled the trigger. The movie looks and sounds great.

This is based on Tolkheim's book. They have taken a great book and made a great movie out of it. Isn't technology great?

Middle Earth is New Zealand - spectacular scenery as the perfect backdrop to Tolkien's world once again brought to life.

This is a great movie. I wasn't as impressed as I was watching the first hobbit movie but over all a great movie to own.

Better than An Unexpected Journey. Bluray looks amazing. Smaug is one of the coolest things i've ever seen on-screen.

I love the book and the Lord of the Rings movies. Each movie seems to depart more and more from the books as written.

This was the best of the three movies, story was not as good as LOTR but entertaining and sad

Husband loved this movie. I bought it for him. He said that it was a good movie, and I am sure he will watch it again.

I grew up watching the cartoon version of the hobbit, now I am able to share the modern version with my boys!

Worth seeing. Well done but not as fantastic as the "The Lord of the Rings" series. Maybe I've just been spoiled.

Good movie but I hate the ending. I understand it's a cliff hanger but it drives me crazy to see an ending like this.

The movie was good, not great. I think they should of made two episodes of the hobbit not three. It is too drawn out.
