Great movie and can't wait for the next one. Will be there on release day for the next one .

Plot is somewhat thin as most have said, but as always, overall visual quality is excellent.

I have always like Tolkien's books and Jackson has done a great job bringing them to screen.

As expected, just wish U.S.DVDs would have more foreign languages like most foreign DVDs.

There was action all the way through the ou didnt want to leave to go to the refrigerator.

My children and I like this movie except my wife. The only character we missed was Spegal

The Hobbit series feels more drawn out than the Lord of the Rings series. The second installment has more action than the first but still felt too long. The picture quality of the Blu Ray was good and the 3D package was an excellent purchase due to the value of it.

Great 2nd movie in the series. Smaug is amazingly well done. Action scenes are well done.

Should go, but nothing to write home about. Again the movie is about 30 minutes too long.

A great sequel and I'm sure for those with those awesome tv's will be a great experience!

As a huge LOTR and Hobbit fan, greatly disappointed in the Hobbit films. Would recommend the cartoon version over the Peter Jackson films. The first one was bad but this is just awful except for Smaug and the mirkwood spiders, but they drew the whole Smaug thing out too far. Peter Jackson has drug this book out to three films, it should have been 2 tops. Peter Jackson has the script in front of him with Tolkien's book but he keeps adding stuff in that doesn't happen and keeps changing the story in multiple areas, stupid. Most people watching this movie loved it but if you read the books, this was horrible. Also too much CGI. The orcs look dumb and the whole love triangle thing, what's that about. Read the books (Hobbit and LOTR, then watch the cartoon movies. Peter Jackson's LOTR movies are decent except for the Two Towers, in which he changes the story which completely ruins the meaning and significance of the books.

not nearly as good as the LOTR but the art design on these films are still incredible.
