it is overall a good movie. the DVD extras are great. The only problem is it is anotherlong hobbit movie.

Doen't work on my TV. My LG C6 TV can handle 3D picture, but WB's blu-ray update caused the player and the TV to mis-read the signal. I couldn't watch the Blu-ray in 3D because of this. I wouldn't buy it since manufacturers are moving away from this format and last 3D TVs and blu-rays aren't compatible with this.

Just too much added stuff, but the action and story did develop well.

It's a pretty decent movie. They could have made the entire series just one movie though.

This is a great movie and I would recommend everyone purchasing this movie if you haven't already

There was absolutely no reason for 'The Hobbit' to be adapted into three feature-length films. The one saving grace of the first film was the wonderful "Riddles in the Dark" sequence. This time it's the initial confrontation between Bilbo and Smaug. But is one scene enough to justify the other 2+ hours of forgettable bloat surrounding it?

I like the original cut better. Editing was sloppy and flow of movie was disrupted.

Those who want more of the book and some excellent new as well as extend scenes.

I can't believe they have split such a small story into three movies. When they made the Lord of the Rings I wondered how they would get such long and involved stories into just one movie for each book. Now they turned around and took the small and simple story of the Hobbit and are stretching it into three movies.

Enjoyable second installment of the Hobbit franchise. It also has a dragon.

I liked it. It was a smooth transition from the original series.

I wish they would not have dragged this story out over so many movies.

The dragon becomes the star, rather than Bilbo or anyone else.

More action than first one, but was losing the kids half way through.

Director took too much liberty on adding too much into the story line.
