So I've read The Hobbit 3 times, and I still find the movies extremely entertaining, especially in 3D! The film itself was visually beautiful and Martin Freeman (Bilbo) never disappoints! I highly recommend to anyone with a sense of imagination.

This movie was insanely awesome and the key was just the icing on top of an already amazing deal. The key alone on the noble collection was at least 30 dollars and when I saw that it came with the extended edition I was sold in a heartbeat.

The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit series are my favorite movies by far. I love the story lines, the characters, and the cinematography is out of this world. Definitely purchase the blu-ray if you can. I can't wait for the next one to come out!

I love the Hobbit movies this is a great set. I don't need the blue ray so the DVD and digital copy are great. I love the digital copies of movies because I have a growing library of movies I never have to worry about scratching!

I always liked the extended/director versions of films because they always add more to the story and the desolation of smuag was no exception. The additional scenes added more to the parts that had no reason to be in the theatrical version

The variety of acting skills that fit the character development is superb. Richard Armitage is one of my favorite actors, he is excellent in all roles he is challenged with. (Strike Back - North South+) The whole series has been a joy to watch!

This is another great movie affiliated with Lord of the Rings. The story of The Hobbit continues to the Lonely Mountain that has been taken over by Smaug, a dragon obsessed with gold. The characters, the graphics, the story... All so amazing.

This movie was full of adventure and action. There's nothing to complain about with the action sequences and the confrontation between Smaug & the Company is fantastic. On the other hand, the emotional attachments weren't as strong and there was a lot of busy work without the emotional groundwork. It was a fun movie to watch with some interesting new storylines added. Definitely worth watching.

The original movie was pretty good but felt a little long; added content in the extended addition didn't really add to the overall enjoyment of the film. So this is annoying: Digital copy is Ultraviolet only which is essentially worthless to me. Ultraviolet's apps are buggy at best; they used to give you a iTunes key if you asked but now their support pretends that was never the case.

As I've already stated I love this film. The blu-Ray is great, and I enjoy the option of DVD and ultra violet. There is nothing I would change about the movie. My only downside for it is the lack of extras. Part I I of the New Zealand as Middle Earth, the webisode docs and the trailers is all we get. I know the extended version will have far more. I just wish this version had a bit more extras.

For being the second movie in the series it's a great film. Although it doesn't follow the book as it was written it adds even more to the plot and story. Can't wait until the third films comes out later this year to finish up the epic series.

If you love the lord of the rings, then you need to see this movie. If you haven't seen in theaters then the only way to appreciate it is in 3-D or at least blue-ray. The action, sounds and over all picture with overall good story is worth it.

the story kept me wanting more, the more the story went on the more details it uncovered and answered questions. the only draw back is that i have to wait for the next one to come out, when it does you better believe i'm having a marathon. :)

love blue ray for watching this epic saga. Also cool to have a DVD for the CAR system.Good to view with subtitles since much of the movie has names people and towns that can get confusing. Picture and sound is excellent.

Any Hobbit fan knows that you can never have enough footage by Peter Jackson. In this is a blu ray picture quality with extended cut scenes that wasn't shown in theaters. Lastly, a nice touch with a collectors Thorin Key to the mountain.

Overall, I found The Hobbit: DoS to be much better than the first film. The pacing was great and moved pretty briskly (minus a few points in the second act). The final act was outstanding; beginning with Bilbo's conversation with Smaug and building to the showdown with the Dwarves; just an engrossing sequence of events leading to the end – it definitely made me excited for the final chapter.

As we all know Mr. Jackson took a lot of liberties with the story of the Hobbit. Although not a "true" adaption, these flourishes--while detracting from the book story as a whole--do make for a compelling film. Add on production values that are top notch and a stunning 3D transfer, this blu-ray makes for a terrific, immersive movie-going experience. Bonus features are fantastic as well!

This is an amazing sequel to the Hobbit. The landscape in the movie is amazing. The cast of this movie consists of several wonderful actors, several of which are not well known in the United States. Do not forget to watch the Dvd extras too.

I like this 2nd movie more than the first one. More action and beautiful scenery and CGI. I also like the packaging of this particular edition. Only negative that I have is the price since it is more expensive than comparable 3d movies.

Everything about it is so real. One could relate so much of what happens to what happens in our every day lives. It's real. It's believable. I never tire of watching this movie, or any of the movies in this series. Wish there could be more.
