As with all of the Hobbit and LOR movies the cinematography is always breathtaking. I thought that the 3D utilized within this movie did not distract from the experience, but helped to immerse one into it. Cannot wait to see the next one.

Movie is okay, no where near as good LOTR but it is still better than most fantasy movies out there. A bit long for my liking though. But really this review is about my experience @ Best Buy and it was good as always.

At first I was disappointed in the breaking up of this movie into the 3 parts as it was contained in one book, but the lengths that they have gone to and included from other published works on the subject make it well worth the wait.

Peter Jackson does justice to the wonderfully complex world of JRR Tolkein. I am glad he broke the films up in order to tell the story correctly. I am also completely in awe of the SFX. The stunts, the creatures, the makeup is all great.

I think this movie is much better than the first Hobbit movie. I really enjoyed the escape scene down the river in the wine barrels. I found myself ducking to avoid getting hit by the arrows. The special effects were fantastic as well.

We have all the Lord of the Rings DVD's, so when I heard that they were going to start making Hobbit movies I was EXCITED!! They did not disappoint. Having read the books, I loved how they made the story come to life on screen.

As with any of the Hobbit and LOTR series, this movie is a must buy if you are a Fan. The storyline and acting are well written and the bonuses that come with the purchase are well worth it.

Am a great fan of the LOTR world and am looking forward to the next installment. Bilbo is so lovable and Martin Freeman plays him perfectly. The dragon is fantastic and soo Cumberbatch! This was a great Mother's Day gift from the kids.

If you are already a fan you will love this movie as much as I did. Some purist may disagree with some of the changes from the original books, but I feel they are minor and love these all the same. You will be entertained regardless :o)

I like the movies, and enjoyed 'Lord of the Rings'. Now it seems they just want to play to an audience that has clung to the series. For me it's getting old. But I smile and tell my wife how much I like it. Avoids conversation that way.

I will make this short and to the point. This has been one of the best 3D movies I have seen not just that, but the resolution overall is just priceless I highly recommend middle earth fans to support this epic story. Worth every penny.

This movie is an amazing sequel to The Hobbit. Anyone who is a Lord of the Rings fans needs to add this dvd to their collection. The cast is wonderful. Make sure you check out the dvd extras. They are always informative and interesting.

See where it all began! Before The Lord of the Rings saga see how it all sets up. In here you see beginning of the darkness that is coming. Plus, if you pay close attention you can see a Steven Colbert cameo if you pay close attention:)

As far as the story and directing goes, this movie is significantly more mature and serious than the first Hobbit installment. It's more reminiscent of the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. As far as the cinematography and 3D effects goes, it's top notch, including an exceptional looking dragon. I do not own the first Hobbit, but happily paid for this one. Looking forward to the 3rd movie.

Love it! This movie continues the tale of Middle Earth, and it does that in a grand fashion...great story, great characters, great cinematography, great soundtrack...what more could you ask for?! If you haven't see this movie...do it!

I was in awe when I saw one of the extended scenes. How could they cut such an important part out of the regular version? I was very surprised with the key. I thought it would be a cheap plastic replica. It is actually really nice.

I only buy the Extended Versions of the Lord Of The Rings/Hobbit series. In this one, there are parts that were cut in the theatrical release that I believe are key storyline parts! This is a must have to add to the uncut library.

This was a nice building block for the final movie in the series. It introduced us to upcoming issues while keep the plot moving to avoid lots of "non-essential" points, unlike the first. The DVD Extras were very entertaining as well.

It was so nice to be able to order it online & be able to pick it up @ the best buy store of my choice. I didn't have to rush to the store the day it came out. I no worries, it was already waiting for me to pick up. Thank you so much!

This is a great movie. What Peter Jackson has done with The Lord of the Rings trilogy and now The Hobbit to bring them to life on the big screen is phenomenal. These are some of my favorite movies and I would recommend them to anyone.
