The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 3 pack BD combo is an excellent addition to any movie enthusiasts collection. The flawless CGI draws viewers in and enraptures them during scenes of dialogue between Bilbo and the dragon Smaug.

Another excellent film adaptation from Peter Jackson of the Tolkien books. I, for one, like the job that he has done in putting together these films & I'm looking forward to seeing the next movie, "The Battle of the 5 Armies"

This movie is wonderfully crafted, although the movie adds many things that are not in the book. All would love this, but fantasy buffs just a little more. I have watched it many times & never get tired of watching it again.

This movie is by far the best in The hobbit Trilogy. If you like dragons, hobbits, elves, dorphs, Wizards, or orlando bloom (lol) then this movie is for you. Plus its a bonus for your nerd card to have this in your collection.

The original version of this film is pretty cool so I wanted to get some extra viewing pleasure. I was not disappointed. I would recommend the extended version to all who can't get enough of Middle Earth.

Not quite the story I read when I was younger but still crafted well, should have been done before LOTR. Legolas was looking much older in this last movie than he did in LOTR. The extended version ties up some loose ends.

If you loved the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings series, you will love The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug. The graphics and action are great, especially Smaug. Can't wait for the next movie. A must for your movie collection.

If you're a Tolkien fan, this is a great buy. This is my personal favorite flick out of all the LOTR and Hobbit films. This particular set is a great purchase since it comes with the 3d blu ray, blu ray, and DVD editions.

This continuation of the Hobbit saga did not disappoint at all!!! We meet new characters which are awesome and old characters where we get to see new sides of them. The director brings an incredible book to life in this movie!

The second installment of the Peter Jackson Hobbit trilogy is full of suspense with clues that make you long to see them unfold in the final episode. Smaug is on the loose, but will he get what's coming to him? Wait and see!!!

second installment of The Hobbit movie is awesome just as good as the first one. Plenty of action. Cinematography is great.the only bad part about this movie is the fact that it's a cliffhanger until the next one. a must have.

Tfhis being a trilogy! It can only get better from here. It is a movie that keeps you on the edge and waiting for the next tidbit. Anticipation is high for the final part and thanks for providing me the means to enjoy at home.

If you love the Lord of The Rings Saga. Extended is the only way to roll. By adding 35 extra minutes to the film you get more to love. Also they come with extra behind the scenes footage. A must for any fan. Get yours now!

Like the idea of the movies but when you get to the end it's not the end. They are breaking it up into pieces. After purchasing each movie individually you know that they are going to put them all in a box set with all the extras. It works good for marketing but think that studios should give you the option to trade in/up to the box set when they finally release it.

Peter Jackson continues to deliver excellent cinematic value with the Desolation of Smaug. Fast paced, humorous, and well written. It will be sad to say goodbye to these heroes when the final movie is released this December.

Unlike the LOTR, the plot on this one does not build as dramatically as the original trilogy. The look is amazing, and the cinematography is gorgeous. Unfortunately because you have already seen the LOTR there is no real fear for the danger that the characters are in, so your emaotional connection is not there. It is still an incredible film and well worth the watch.

Great movie. I've been a Tolkien fan for fifty years. I already had the Hobbit. But, when the extended version at a reduced price presented itself, I couldn't resist. A great addition to my library.

The video and audio quality of this movie in this format is unparalleled. Well worth the purchase price if you're a fan of the Tolkien stories, or if you just have an appreciation for the capabilities of the blu-ray format.

I loved the Lord of the Rings movies and the first hobbit movie. And this one continued on those lines. I was so into the movie that I didn't realize how quickly time had passed. I can't wait for the final part to come out.

If you're an absolute fan, this is a no brainer. For those looking for a fun fantasy flick, this is great choice. For those who possess great impulse control, wait for the extended edition coming out in a couple of months.
