timeless movie. I have all the lord of the rings movies and they just get better. I look forward to the last of the Hobbit movies and I will be buying all of the remaining dvds. thank you for making the dvds affordable.

Desolation of Smaug is amazing!! The story picks up from An Unexpected Journey and the pace of the movie is exciting and keeps the momentum going throughout the movie. And of course the picture on the blu ray is amazing!!

The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug is the second installment of The Hobbit series and is awesome entertainment for the whole family. It was filmed in some beautiful areas in New Zealand and has excellent cinematography.

I loved this movie and am excited to see the third edition to the trilogy. I think it was a great idea to split one book into three sections, allows them to include all the details of one of J.R.R Tolkiens best creations.

Loved the added portions of the movie. They helped fill in holes. All the added bonus material was interesting as well. Seeing where they filmed in New Zealand, how they integrated the natural beauty with blue screen.

The Desolation of Smaug was excellent. Well-rounded with a great mix of good action and great story and character development. Smaug is my favorite character in the entire LOTR franchise. (Followed closely by Legolas)

I was disappointed that I didn't get to see this one in the theatres. Got it on Bluray on release date and couldn't wait to get home to watch it. WELL worth the wait to see. It really delivered. Can't wait for the finale.

Great story line in the continuing saga of the tale of a hobbit. From beginning to end the viewer will be captivated and sitting on the edge of their chair. Do not recommend watching if you have not seen the first release

Three movies separated by year apart and we'll buy them all in Blu Ray and then turn around and buy them again in Blu Ray Extended version when they release them that way. Wonderful story, runs close to story in the book!

The second installment to the hobbit trilogy is even better than the first. Though, it will never live up to the Lord of the rings trilogy, it's still a lot of fun to revisit middle earth and see some familiar faces. This film also features one of the greatest movie dragons of all time. So definitely get this on bluray to appreciate the full visuals of this film.

great movie, awesome picture on Blu-ray. Should have a Blu-ray only option, instead of a combo with 3D disc because not everyone has a 3D TV, so getting a 3D copy is kind a waste, and the digital copy is not always used.

This movie is phenomenal. The cast, including Benedict Cumberbatch as the vile Smaug, is outstanding. The 3 disc set is great and includes tons of special features and extras. A must have for any fan of great literature.

This is a terrific movie if you enjoy fantasy type movies, especially if you have read The Hobbit from J.R.R Tolkien. I enjoyed the dragon scene which Benedict Cumberbatch did an amazing job with the voice-over.

The Desolation of Smaug picks up the Hobbit storyline and takes it to new, exciting places. While a bit more fast-paced than the first chapter, the real action awaits in The Battle of the Five Armies.

This movie is great for any age and those who are not fans will change there minds after seeing. It's filled with adventure, humor, action to enjoy any time of the day. Definitely a must to keep among your DVD collection.

I have purchased from best Buy for years and years and don't shop anywhere else for the items they carry. If they don't have it I will wait and give them a few days and get it the, No reason to shop anywhere else. R tocco

I always find good movies and great deals at bestbuy there's always a good collection of movies its hard not to buy a lot of movies and hope you guys keep up with the great deals you have and keep the good prices.

The second installment in Jackson's Hobbit trilogy is spectacular. This one has it all...special effects, a great cast, an awesome story, and more. If you've not seen it yet, make it a point to seek it out and watch it!

This is great movie with a cliffhanger for the next movie in the series at the end...leaving you thirsting for more. I thought the 3d would be more immersive. There were many good scenes in 3d, but I don't know if I could recommend the 3d version to EVERYONE. I would purchase it again in 3d, though, just because I enjoy the whole experience of 3d movies.
