I recently purchased the blu ray and digital download exclusive at best buy and it comes with a huge key from the Hobbit. What a great gift for something I was going to buy anyways. Thank you best buy!

This desk is the epitome of amazing picture and sound. Peter Jackson has really outdone himself with this release. If you love the Hobbit and the Lord of the rings trilogy this purchase is a no-brainer

This is a nice release, with an interesting lenticular slip. It would've been nice to get a steel book release for this movie. I paid $32.99, and it's worth it to get two more disks for the appendices.

The second Hobbit does everything the first one did plus more! Everything is ramped up from the action to the characters. Smaug is fantastic character and is something that needs to be experienced by all!

Wow I always go to Best Buy to buy my blurays they have the beat prices for exactly what your looking for. The Hobbit desolation of Smaug is a great hit! I am definitely recommending this movie to others.

This movie was even better than "An Unexpected Party" Great middle movie. Cant wait for the final installment. DVD Extras were a little light, but I know they save all the good stuff for the extended cut.

Fun and entertaining continuation to the Hobbit. Action packed and exciting for people of all ages. I did feel that this trilogy could have been only two movies long instead of three just for the fact that not all the scenes were necessary or relevant in this movie for the overall story. Love the 3D version and digital copy for my ipad!

The movie picks up where the last one left off. Tremendous scenery as well as sharp images. The story line kept my family glued to their seats. A definite buy for the family. Can't wait for the next one.

"The Hobbit - Desolation of Smaug" is the second prequel to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I love the story and I don't see how the movie could be any better than it is. I would recommend it to everyone.

Huge Hobbit and LOR fan. Wished the last movie was showing now. The special effects were amazing! Even the addition of the she-elf did not have a negative impact on the storyline but rather enhanced it!

Finally an extended edition with the hours of special features that were missing from the first blu ray release of this movie. And I watched every single minute of it! Love all the details and info.

I am a JRR Tolkien fan and love all of the movies made from these books. The scenery is incredible and the special effects are awesome. I was impressed by the care the movie took in following the books.

While they changed the plot line to add Legolas, it did not diminish from the story line. The CG for Smaug is perfect to my vision of what he would look like from reading the books for over thirty years

I bought this as a Birthday gift for my husband. He loves these movies. I'm sure I will be buying the next part of this trilogy when it comes out next year. It is a very well written and produced movie.

I am completely happy with the way Peter Jackson brings the story to life. Even if you haven't read the books and are not a fan of Tolkien, you will certainly enjoy the cinematic feature!

I liked the move, the hi-def pic, but was not impressed with the 3D. I like to put on the glasses with friends, dim the lights, and actually have things jumping out of the screen at me. I want 3D to truly be 3D, not just a picture that's slightly rounded by th 3D. All in all, worth the bucks, but I would probably rent it before buy it.

I have always liked the Hobbit series since the first one came out animated with Orson Bean doing the voice of Bilbo. It was the whole series wrapped up in one. Great series. Sorry it had to end.

It cost less here and this is the exstended edition in 3d. The movie was phenomenal. Other places didn't seam to carry this in 3d with the exstended footage. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
