It's a great movie and very entertaining, but have a feeling the next one they make is going to be stretched out and may start to feel like the ending is dragging, much like lord of the Rings.

This was a wonderful followup to the first movie. Of course, this one leaves us with a cliffhanger ended to insure we watch the third in the series. I can hardly wait for number 3 to come out.

I read J.R..R Tolkien's books a long time ago. I saw the first Hobbit movie a long time ago. The current "trilogy" Hobbit movies have more detail. Plus it's not in a cartoon (animated) format.

This second installment was as good as the first. There is a lot of embellishment from the book, but I don't have a problem with that as long as the movie is well made and tells a great story.

This series is extremely well done and closely follows the book. The scenery is exceptionally beautiful. The characters are believable and unique. It's a great follow up to Lord of the Rings.

Great DVD set that includes 3 different formats so that you can enjoy watching it in 3 different ways for 1 low price. I love these DVDs and Best Buy always has them at the best price around.

I love all of the lord of the rings movies and this is no exception. I have an lg 3d TV and this looks amazing on it. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes fantasy or SciFi!

Exactly what I wanted. great set of literally 10 hrs of special features, a must for any middle-earth fan. The cool perk was the collectors key of erebor, which was nice but not essential.

I enjoyed this film as I enjoy most things fantasy. I'm not sure why people complain. The acting, cinematography, and story are all superb. A must have for a fan of the Tolkein works.

If you are a fan of the novels there will probably be some things left out that you really wanted to see and other things added that just don't jive too well. If you have not read the novels I believe you will be entertained by most of this movie. The acting and wardrobe/makeup are once again the shining jewel. Enjoy!

If you like "the Hobbit". you will surely like this movie and the coming 3rd follow up movie. Just as the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. I love these, they are some of my favorite movies!!!!!!

If you love the Hobbit then this movie especially in 3D is a must have. However I really 'hate' movies that cut-off in mid story or worst a cut scene .. e.g. Back to the Future part 2. Otherwise this is an Adventure movie that action packed with a good story line and well acted characters. Beautiful scenery and stages.

Love the hobbit. Great action film if you like The Lord of the Rings series. Make sure you watch all the movies prior to watching this. Blu ray is the best I'll never go back to regular DVD

While the production values maintained their usual high standards, I found this chapter a little long, and too full of sideways storylines, and some of the traveling antics were almost slapstick in nature. All in all, very entertaining, and a necessary stop if you've been following this journey from the beginning.

My Son Jason had me take him to go see the first hobbit movie and i really enjoyed the movie. we bought that one on blue ray as well as this so we can have the fun of watching them at home.

This is a fine film and an excellent BluRay - the transfer is crisp and clear and the extras are interesting. If you liked the first Hobbit film then you'll probably like this one even more.

Loved the movie. My whole family loves watching the movie. The plot is great... I can't wait for the next movie comes out. We were all like... WHAT?!?!? when we reached the end of the movie.

Saw this in the theater and now I'm just glad to have been able to add it to my collection!! Best part? Extras and deleted content. (I always wonder what was left on the cutting room floor.)

As a fan of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Trilogy, this movie not only exceeded my childhood imagination but brought to life on screen a story that thrilled my heart and mind.

I like Peter Jackson's movies. He actually takes the time and effort to put out a quality product. Though I do like The Rings trilogy better, this is still worth the watch several times.
