Picture is excellent, too bad it's not 4K/HDR. Extra content has really added to the movie. Would have been too long in the theater but perfect for home viewing.

It was my second favorite of the trilogy next to to the desolation of smaug. It had a cheerful beginning yet becomes darker as the movie progresses. Bilbo and Thorin both are the highlight of all 3 movies. If you liked lotr then I highly recommend seeing the hobbit trilogy.

I did not watch the movie in theatres. I bought it later once it was considered a success. My boys ranging from 3-12 love this movie and can't wait for the third installment to come out.

Love these Blu/DVD combo packs. Excellent value for the price. I didn't find this sequel as compelling as An Unexpected Journey. It's still a good sequel.

Another amazing movie in the Hobbit trilogy. It very much matches the story and cinematography of the other movies. We were excited to add this movie to our library at a wonderful price!

If you love the Lord of the Rings series and enjoyed the Hobbit’s first journey, this continuation meets and exceeds the expectations you would have. I can’t wait until the next release.

Love it and I can't wait for the final movie to be released. I loved the book and the movie is brings it life in such a way that it would make JRR Tolkien proud. Way to go Peter Jackson.

The second installment of the trilogy is a bit mixed. While the dwarves are presented as a little more sympathetic characters than in the original book, the love triangle seems forced and is totally unnecessary to the narrative. The extras present some extraordinary eye candy, but otherwise feel a little lacking.

This movie is a cinematic masterpiece. It is a fantastic mix between plot and action scenes. While the first movie is a bit slow to start up the series but this movie picks up the pace!

THE MOVIE WAS GREAT BUT THERE WERE SPOTS THAT WERE DRAWN OUT BUT OVERALL THE MOVIE KEPT MOVING. tHE CAST OF CHARACTERS WERE GREAT AND I LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT SEQUESL OF THIS TRILOGY.

The journey through Middle Earth continues in the Hobbit the Desolation of Smaug Extended Edition. Great Extended scenes and excellent extras. Peter Jackson and team have nailed it!!

This is one of my favorite movies and the book is great. I love the photography and production, really is a diamond inn the cinamotographic world!

Movie case comes in a VERY nice sip case that is much better than the average slipcover. Content fits right in with the other EE's including the LOTRs for those that have that set.

awesome as was The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. the only thing that could be improved is the brightness of the othewise great 3D. but that is the case with the current state of all 3D.

This movie is the 2nd of 3 parts from the book written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Although some new material was added, it does not detract from the story and is otherwise faithful to the book.

Collectors box looks fantastic with 3D holographic cover of Smaug. Nice addition to extended edition of Unexpected Journey, packaging matches in detail for collectors or displaying.

Tolkein spun an amazing story. The movie continues the tale of Hobbit. Awesome scenery, amazing special effects and lots of action. Let your mind imagine another place in another time.

This movie was so much fun to watch. It is about three hours long, but well worth the time to watch it. I really liked the story and am looking forward to the next movie in the series!

I buy theses as combo pack so my daughter can have regular DVD and the download so we all can enjoy great movies. My husband really enjoyed the movie. He likes all these kind of movies
