The dwarves and Bilbo , along with Gandalf, have great adventures and mysteries along their quest. The dragon is a great character as well. Be ready for a barrel full of fun.

I love his work so far with the Tolkien material, and for all those that don't appreciate it for deviating from the book, I enjoy it that much more for all that's been added

The movie itself is a masterpiece! The CG is just top notch. They did a fantastic job on the dragon Smaug... and I had to watch it twice just for that! Definately a must see!

I love the story, characters, actors in all the the movies of this collection. I own them all now and I never get tired of watching them over and over again (specially in 3D)

Great story, awesome director, great strong cast, there's nothing better then the New Zealand landscape , it's so beautiful. Whole movie is full of great, amazing adventures.

This movie is, like the other Peter Jackson Tolkien movies, wonderfully done. Book purists would tell you that there is a lot of stuff in this movie that does not appear in the books. While this may be true to some extent, Jackson manages to pull it all together and make it feel believable.

All children of all ages should watch these movies even if not to learn anything but tto see how classic movies were made and how they looked before the age of computers.

This was a great movie! Loved the way it just jumped right back into the story. Had us laughing & kept us on the edge of our seats. Can't wait for the next one to come out!!

This movie is one of the best I've seen lately. It's funny, dramatic, and exciting. If you enjoy any of the "Lord of the Rings" movies you won't be disappointed by this one.

I liked the movie and think it stayed true to precious parts of series. Cinematography was fantastic. Characters were expanded and aspects of the story were a nice surprise.

I enjoy 3D movies and The Lord of the Rings. So getting The Hobbit part 2 in 3D is a must. Getting the extended edition isn't necessary unless your a die hard Hobbit fan.

As the second installment, I was surprised it wasn't stuck in the character concentration, but kept the action and excitement going more so than the prior film. Thumbs up!

I would highly recommend this series of movies for all who love adventure, intrigue, and great special effects. This is definitely a series I will watch again and again.

Great visual effects and we loved the Dragon! The story is terrific. Really enjoyed the extra 25 minutes added, getting some of the story the director wanted in the film.

This edition also brings the extended version of the movie, along with the collectors item. Must have for fans, and great movie to buy for anyone into the fantasy genre.

Huge fan of The Lord of the ring, this sequel is looking really good. Can't wait for the third movie to come out. I have a good feeling it will be better than the first two.

Good movie especially if you like the LOR stuff. My kids loved the LOR and they love the Hobbit. We turn the viewing into a family affair and my boys are still pretty young.

If you want to see the true potential of your 3D HDTV, you need to buy Peter Jackson's Hobbit series. In my opinion, the effects are even better than those seen in "Avatar."

The Hobbit is a great trilogy and it is always a favorite movie to watch over and over again. The action and characters are great. We're looking forward to the next one!
