I give this movie 5 stars for quality of characterisation and scenery and props that are completely believable. One feels like they are transported to middle earth.

Probably the best of the series. Great shots of a giant dragon being epic. Makes you feel for him and his massive amount of gold. Quality at home is decent too

The movie is great it aded to my collection. I enjoy watching the movie. I am a big fan of the hobit. I would get movie again at best buy it was a good price.

I loved this movie in the theaters and the blu-ray does not disappoint. It looks great on my UHD television and as always, I find the extras to be outstanding.

Needs more dragons in it but it has one so go see it! If you read the book and are expecting that storyline, you'll probably be disappointed but I liked it anyway.

Great movie, I didn't think the Hobbit saga would be as good as the original Lord of the Rings trilogy, but its just as good or even better! Must watch, get it!

Great movie for those who like fantasy adventure. Special effects and graphics. A bit long so good to watch on DVD etc where you can pause for a needed break.

A must have for any Hobbit/Lord or the Rings fan! 3d is great for the most part but does get a little blurry in some action scenes however may be in part to my TV.

Very good action, but excellent scenery and storytelling. Great acting as in the first Hobbit film, with personal growth in Bilbo a compelling core to the film.

Good, But not Lord of the Rings. Too much dialoge between the Hobbit and the dragon, got boring, The dragon sequence was nothing like the book. This should have been one movie. Also the barrell ride was nothing like the book. Glad I did not waste the time or money at the theather.

If you like Lord of the Rings, this is a must buy on Blu-Ray. The visuals are amazing on Blu-Ray! I would highly recommend to both family and friends.

I enjoyed the movie,all the action.Great camera work.I am 65 years old but I still enjoy movies that are entertaining.I am looking forward to the follow up movie.

Just like the first part of the series and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug doesn't let you down. So ready for the 3rd installation

I enjoyed the additional footage of the movie including the extra explanations. I only wish that there hadn't been so many departures from the source material.

Just like most trilogies, this is the middle film out of three. As was The Two Towers in the LOTR Trilogy, This film was just good enough and left us hanging in anticipation for the conclusion of the whole story with the third film. This is not the greatest, but it was still good.

My sons love the Hobbit movies, so I bought them both Hobbit movies for Christmas. Not my favorite genre, but then again they don't like watching Legally Blonde like I do. They were thrilled and enjoy watching movies over and over again even agter seeing then in the theater.

We love the Hobbit movies and my son was thrilled to receive this along with Thorin's key. It is big and heavy and looks identical to the one in the movie.

If you are a purist you will hate this film! I am a purist at heart but can relate to the movie magic of bringing a story to life. This is a great embellishment!

It's easy to understand why the hobbit films haven't gotten as much love as the Lord of the rings films but they are still solid entertainment in their own right. Great sale price on this three day disk and still had a lenticular slipcover to you.
