The extended cut of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug should not be missed. Bilbo steals the show with his clever mind while confronting the Dragon.

If you're a fan of the book or just into a really good movie, this is for you! Well paced, excellent effects and imagery, and incredibly entertaining!

If you are a fan of the series. I prefer having the media and watching again instead of the chopped version on cable loaded with too many commercials.

Needed to add to the collection of the movies on the hobbit book. We have the rest of the DVDs. Great movie. I liked the return of the king the best.

Loved this movie! The 3d effects seemed to come right into the room with us!! We have seen the movie before, but the 3d will be watched many times!!!

Can't get enough of this story! Why is it that the second in any trilogy is always so good? Empire Strikes Back, Two Towers, and now Desolation of Smaug!

As a sci-fi/fantasy fan, I wholehardily recommend this DVD for your collection. The digital copies are also very convenient to have on your PC or laptop!

This movie has a lot of action and moves very fast. You will not be bored watching. My kids watch it over and over. The first one had alot of slow areas.

Having read the books and seen all the other films, I feel like I really know the characters and their world. It a wonderful land of fantasy with enough what may apply in our reality that this becomes all around good story telling to be enjoyed on any number of levels

I loved the movie, couldn't wait for it to come out on dvd. Can't wait for the extended version. I know it doesn't stick to the book exactly, which is what you expect from every movie that is made from a book. I do however think the orcs show up just a bit too much.

If you haven't seen the first movie then your missing out. These movies are the best and great for movie marathon nights. Time to bust out the popcorn!!

I think this film brings more action and more character development than the first Hobbit offered -- making the Desolation of Smaug much more enjoyable.

If you are a fan of the Lord of the Rings movies, this is a must see to understand how it all began. Make some popcorn and enjoy a family movie night!

The movie has brilliant graphics. Each character is represented wonderfully. Of course the story itself is monumental. Great value on a great movie.

Desolation of Smaug has just as much, if not more action than the first Hobbit film. I would say this is the my favorite of the three Hobbit films.

This second installment of the book follows the storyline faithfully. It was very enjoyable to watch. I can hardly wait until the 3rd movie is released.

I'm not sure if the first three movies spoiled me on expectations but watching it gives me satisfaction but not that yearning to watch it over and over like the first three movies. Even with that said, if you were a fan of the series , it's definitely worth watching.

The extended version has so many extra scenes, It felt like watching the movie for the first time. This buy was extra special with a price match!

The movie itself doesn't need a review: it's amazing.. the 3D version is so cool and works wonderfully on my Epson 2030 with samsung 3D glasses.

We enjoy watching the Hobbit movies and this one did not disappoint. We bought this to go along with all the other Lord of the Ring/Hobbit movies.
