Great extra footage and bonus features. I always wait for the extended version of these films. They are better than the theatrical version.

The second installment of the Hobbit trilogy is great! The extended edition does add a good bit of action to an already action packed movie!

good movie in 3d. only thing i hated was having to change the cd to disk 2 for the 3d movie while the dvd and the bluray only have the one disk

Great movie and entertaining. A bit disappointed with the cliche storyline added with Tauriel. Seems too similar to arwen and Aragon storyline.

I have read the Hobbit several times and while the movie doesn't follow the book exactly, it is very close and really brings the story to life.

If you're a fan of LOTR then you already know what to expect. These movies are great! Can't wait until the final installment comes out! The blu ray quality is phenomenal! And if you don't have a sound bar I highly recommend that you get one! GREAT MOVIE!

Great second movie of the Hobbit trilogy. Good combination of action with some very funny scenes. Can't wait until the third movie is released.

the 2nd in the trilogy does not disappoint. the action was better and the story progresses to build up for the final hobbit when it's released.

The hobbit the desolation of smaug is a great film. It exceeds the first with much more action. Smaug is an amazing dragon. Buy this film ASAP.

I'm a big fan of the stories and the original animated movie. This was such a great movie. Kept me interested the whole time and left me wanting the final part. If you were on the fence about getting, don't wait a second longer. It's a definite must see.

I never read the books, but became a fan of the original LOTR pretty quick. Eventually, all these movies will work together pretty seamlessly.
