Love all of the movies in the Hobbit and Lord of Rings series. We never get tired of watching them again.

If you are fan of The Lord of The Rings, this movie is for you, just let me waiting for more. Good quality video, even better in 3d.

Everything was great, but the story. I am a huge fan of the series and this one just felt like it should have been an hour long not 3 hours. I heard the studio turned this into 3 films from it originally being 2. I didnt think much of it until i actually watched this and it shows how hard they stretched this out. My issue is with the corporate greed that made this movie instead of taking what they had and protecting it. Instead they took it and exploited. It looks great, sounds great but it is so obvious this movie was stretched out to help the movie studios fiscal year. I am not saying dont see this movie, i am just saying dont have your hopes too high. Good luck!

Great 3D addition to my collection. Trying to stock up on 3D movies before they are completely faded out.

was more in this movie that cartoon and the writer would be proud of the great job that was done. you have to watch them all

The second movie in the series has the Bilbo, Gandalf and the Dwarves running into many new challenges. I have a 65" 3D TV and viewing the movie in 3D was great. It's a lot easier on your eyes watching 3D at home rather than in the theater.

Great film. Good 3D. Beautiful picture. Peter Jackson gets it & the chick from Lost is still way hot. Can not wait for number three!

Like all Peter Jackson Lord of The Rings themed movies, this is another big screen epic. And Evangeline Lilly makes a darn sexy Elf!

Desolation of Smaug is a great second installment for the hobbit trilogy. Firey and thrilling it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I loved the book and the movie paid great homage to it. It was cheaper to buy the 3 separately than to buy the set.

This product was delivered on time and it was purchase at a good price. I recommend this product only from Best Buy.

Glad I purchased as part of collection for Lord of the Rings. Enjoyed the movie. DVD quality was good.

Part 2 of the trilogy continues the great story. Everything you would expect from Peter Jackson. Can't wait for the 3rd installment!

If you enjoy Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings, you probably have already seen this movie. If you don't, give it a chance. There's more than enough here to make for a fun time, even though it could be said that the movie drags on in parts.

I am a huge fan of all things ring related. I loved the movie. My only upset is the playstation update the blu ray disc wanted done.

Saw the movie at the theater and had to buy it for my own collection. The DVD was great --no problems and it was a reasonable price.

I always wait for these extended editions. The additional 25 minutes add much to the story. The extras as always are always nice.

When it comes to a movie like this, you should have some time.. Not that it's a long movie, it's just not short. Terrific cinematics, and a score that made me forget I was at home and not sitting next to a stranger at actual theater.

These movies are great the extended versions are always great. If your a lord of the rings fan the hobbit movies are a must have
