We bought this for our 6 yo as a family movie to watch. We enjoyed The Lord of the Rings series and this one is just as good. We tend to make our DVD purchases the first week the movie is available for the best prices.

This movie is the second installment in The Hobbit movies, and it does not disappoint. Highly recommend watching it!

Great movie with awesome 3D..This extended version has alot of extras the Original doesnt have.Well worth it.

The Desolation of Smaug was a good continuation to An Unexpected Journey. Very funny and touching at times. Of course you could also see references to the Lord of the Rings. I enjoyed this movie very much.

I'm a big fan of JRR Tolkien and Peter Jackson has done a masterful job of putting his books to film. When it's time to release those films to disc they put out the very best, with all the frills, bells, and whistles.

This movie was awesome and we are hoping there are more 3-d movies that come out so we can enjoy them at home.

JRR Tolkien would be very proud of this adaptation of his classic novels. Can't wait for the next installment.

This sequel help my intereste till the end. Usually sequels and remakes do not quite hold their own per say, but this one did. The ending does somewhat leaves you having. The film seemed to just end abroptly I though.

This second movie is fun. Much more action and the way it ends makes you WANT to watch the third and final movie

Nice addition to my growing library of Blu-Ray movies. Price was really low for a brand new movie.
