the extra scenes added significant content to the movie and now there is a definite continuity improvement

A great story still unfolding. A must have for the collector, plus a great film for the whole family

This was a great second movie in the trilogy. Many times the second movie is not the best, but this one was.

I have thoroughly enjoy all of the extended editions of the LotR movies, and this one did not disappoint!

If you haven't watched this in 3d this is a must. Everything is better in 3d.

The movie is part two of the hobbit trilogy. The special effects of smaug were incredible to watch. I think 3D has come along way in the last year. It will be nice to watch this when the last one comes out.

Jackson redeemed himself with this second installment of his trilogy,this one is much better made in all aspects,true Tolkien fans, will still be disappointed to some degree,but over all a much better movie!

An exciting adventure that keeps the tradition of LOTR movies. Characters are introduced without making it feel crowded. The cinematography is excellent and the plot sets up the final installment quite well.

A great copy and double disc of the movie as I've always come to expect from this company; the only downside is this isn't the extended edition that we all know we're going to get a few month's down the line
