Catching fire was a great addition to the Hunger Games series. Held my attention through the entire movie. The only probl is the end, because I want to see more. Leaves with a major plot twist, especially if you haven't read the books. I just want to watch the entire series all the way through. Highly recommend.

Ever since I saw this movie in theaters I have been eagerly waiting for it to come to dvd. I am very impressed by the special features they have included on the disc. I have watched this film twice in the past week and plan on watching it again. If you enjoyed the first Hunger Games this one will blow you away!

F.Y.I. On the blu ray disc the movie will go from wide screen (black bars top and bottom) to filling up the whole hd screen when katniss everdeen is about to go in battle. This feature does not happen on the dvd or ultra violet. I almost didn't notice it and how they did it was kind of slick. You'll see.

There are very few movies that can keep up after the first, but this is one that does so greatly! As I said in the title, this movie is definitely a chick flick, but I can say that I enjoyed it just as much as any female audience! If you like it, definitely check out Divergent when it comes to BluRay as well!

I missed out on seeing this film in the theatres so watching the blu ray on my home set up was my first experience with it. I'm not going to spend a lot of time on the movie (it's good), the acting (very talented cast), or the cinematography (film looked amazing). If you are a fan you already know these things. The extras were very lackluster. I wouldn't let that persuade you from buying the movie, but I would have liked to see deleted scenes and more commentary tracks.

Enjoyed watching the movie again and noticed things that I missed when I saw it on the big screen. Best parts were the extras that showed locations where the movie was filmed and the difficulties that the director and the actors had to endure.

I had gotten the collectors edition of the first movie and loved it. I already planned on buying this movie when it came out but was disappointed there was not a collector's edition. So, I went with the special best buy exclusive steel book edition. The case is cool but I was disappointed it only had the blue ray copy. I thought it would come with a DVD and special features but it didn't. I still love it I just wish I had known before I preordered it, what it came with.

Few sequels measure up to the original...This movie delivers. GREAT special effects, acting, costumes, good guys / bad guys...and the plot ! Cant wait for the next release. I am "Hungry" for more.

This is a great movie that will keep you guessing as to what will happen next and who can be trusted. It was made in a wonderful and beautiful location, there is real chemistry between the key actors and actress. But if you haven't seen the first movie, it will be difficult to follow what's really going on!

This is part 2 to an intriguing movie/book series about kids put in a life and death battle against one another. But with all plots, there are twists and turns when government, power-plays, and threats outside the battle ring come into play as well. I can hardly wait for the 3rd movie to hit the theatres!!

The plot thickens in this second installment of Hunger Games. All the characters from the first movie return in this sequel. It is one of Phillip Seymour Hoffman's last movies, so it's worth seeing for him alone. The movie continues in the same theme as the first with the Hunger Games returning again. One is not sure what is going to happen, but then the ending comes up out of the blue. It is definitely setup for the next installment, so not much closer on this one.

The Hunger Games film franchise has translated to the screen the despair that haunts this dystopian future. It shows that however reluctantly Katniss is thrown into something that clearly terrifies her, she steps up to the plate to do the right thing while trying to keep all of those that she loves save.

The steel book concept for the DVD is a great ideas for collectors. The packaging was great and nice to see on your shelf of blue rays. The movie is a great second movie to the Hunger Games franchise. Nice extra features over two hours worth for those of us that could not get enough with just the movie.

I love how much hard work and compassion was put into the film from pre to post production. The work is so amazing that you can not differentiate real and digital placement. I feel that it does are great for the difficult to please everyone who loves the book and the movies. I look forward Mocking Jay.

The second movie in the Hunger Games series. I absolutely loved the books, and the movies do not disappoint. I can't wait for the third movie to come out. The 9 part doccumentary in the bonus features is pretty interesting. Also check out the sneak peek of divergent (also based on a young adult book).

movie carries you in suspense waiting to see who is going to get kill and how, and once some one gets kill you actually care for the charecter. also since the cliff hanger of what is going to happen next makes one want to get to the third movie right away. it is great to see good acting in this movie.

Good movie. Director and writers seemed to have tried staying truer to the story line of the book. Comes in steel case if you care about such things. Favorite part of the movie was being able to watch it without having to have an air sickness bag handy from viewing all the shaking of the first moving.

For starters, I have not read any of the books. My wife has and she has enjoyed both book and movie. This movie kept me interested through the first half, dealing with the fallout of the victory of the hunger games. After that, the movie seemed very similar to the first, surviving another bout of death. Cliffhanger ending also feels like this is incomplete until the series finishes. Overall, an enjoyable film to watch, especially if you watched the first.

I'm very conflicted with the concept of the book series and wondered all the way through how the author would make the ending palatable. The concept of putting children into a fight or die and winner take all scenario seems unimaginable to my mind and I hated the demise of each child. If the purpose of the book and subsequent movie is to promote philosophical thought, the purpose has been achieved. How would any of us react when put into a similar situation?
