Good movie I would recommend to add to you collection

Blu ray disk will not play in blu ray player or on my computer which has a blu ray disk drive. I have to return and exchange it for a new disk. I could not view it to discuss the plot, acting or cinematography.

I would recommend getting this movie Hunger Games: Catching Fire. It is a great sequel to the first movie Hunger Games. I like the actors and the action packed movie.

Love the Hunger games but Catching Fire was not as good. They could have summed up the movie in 15 min.

This movie is ok, because you have to see the other movies for them to make since!!!!!

The 1st movie was good. The 2 sequels might be the worst movies I've ever seen

Why does this genre exist? Let's get more money from parents.

I finally had a chance to watch Hunger Games Catching Fire yesterday. The Hunger Games Catching Fire movie definitely has me looking forward to watching the 2014 installment and the other movie that comes out later this year. It helps to watch the first Hunger Games installment because so much of the plot in Hunger Games Catching Fire is tied into what happened during the first movie. Hunger Games Catching Fire has Katnis Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) still coming to terms with how her life has changed. She is grappling with dealing with the pros and cons of being known as one of the game survivors and handling the complex relationship dynamics with Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth). To complicate matters, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) seems to want to do everything in his power to prevent Everdeen from being able to fully enjoy her life. As a matter of fact the only time Snow seems to have any heart is when it comes to his granddaughter (which doesn’t say much because even some of the most known evil people in real-life are known to at least show some semblance of humanity towards their own kids and/or grandchildren). I understand that Sutherland was only doing his job, I just found it jaw dropping how sinister he was required to be. For instance, one of Snow’s motives for wanting to target Everdeen has more to do with the hope that she brings rather than what she has done. There are a multitude of other famous celebrities that star in this movie as well (Lenny Kravitz, Woody Harrelson, the late Phillip Seymour, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, and more). Music by Coldplay features at the end credits of Hunger Games Catching Fire.

From what I have gathered, since I haven't seen the actual DVD in person, theses steelbooks are simply the same as other DVDs and Blu Rays but with a tin case that is limited in its production numbers. So it makes this version of The Hunger Games a collector's item. However it doesn't appear to include any special features or extra discs. It is simply the same as the other version but with a special casing that contains different artwork.

The Hunger Games Catching Fire is an AMAZING movie!! It is a lot of action as they are on their way back into the Hunger Games. There is a lot of Love between Peeta and Katniss as they face more obstacles in the 75th Annual Hunger Games Quater Quell. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! If you loved the Hunger Games you'll love Catching Fire!! I recommend this movie to everyone who loves action, adventure, and so much Love! Peeta and Katniss!! Love and Together!!

Catching Fire is a very in depth, action packed film. You see the relationship and emotions in not just the main characters, but the districts themselves. They have to deal with the overbearing government and another Hunger Games with previous winners. With the odds stacked against them, Katniss and Peeta must survive, again. Overall it is a fantastic movie, leading up to the next film. A must buy. RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The movie itself is great. I'm not sure if it's full-screen the entire time, but I do remember at least some of the movie goes full-screen (no black bars at the top). I'm pretty sure in the beginning there are black bars but I noticed it went full-screen at some point. Perhaps it was when they started using the IMAX cameras in the jungle, but then it seemed to stay in full-screen even after that. I have a plasma, so I hate black bars. The deleted scenes are not worth watching at all. The DVD only has the deleted scenes and the Divergent sneak peek for the special features. Obviously, the DVD doesn't have enough room for the rest. Having said that, the other special features on the blu-ray (the behind the scenes, "making of" stuff) is pretty extensive and you really get a fascinating look at all the work that went into making this film. I really enjoyed that part of the special features. I just wish there were more in terms of deleted scenes and gag reels and stuff like that. The Divergent sneak peak was pretty good, though. One other complaint is the cover art. It's very similar to the first movie. They don't really seem to put much thought into the cover art for these movies. I know they have a steel book version, but I honestly couldn't care less about the steel book. I prefer the paper slip covers for my blu-rays.

Not many special features packed on the individual release, but if you're just looking for the straight film with no extras - this is your best bet. I would recommend at this point simply purchasing the collected edition if you haven't seen or simply don't own any of these. As for the film itself - its the same great quality production as the previous two. The tale is coming to a close and the stakes are become much greater as the Heroine's world really starts to unravel. Good acting and a decent adaption of the novel, which I recommend reading as well for those that haven't. I am Mark Twain, after all, surely.

I'm a fan of the limited edition steelbooks so of course I had to purchase the Hunger Games in steelbook which I was a little nervous about because I also wanted the digital copy but nowhere in description does it mention digital copy so once I received my items I was happy to see that the digital copy is included and its both versions (itunes & ultraviolet).tje downside I think is that you only get the Blu-ray Disc with this version not the dvd also unlike other steelbook editions wjere u get both and digital copies.for the price I think both discs should be included but that being said if you like steel books I'd still purchase.

There are many reviews out there for the film itself and anyone looking to buy a Steelbook generally already has an idea of what the film they are purchasing is, so I will skip over the film and focus on the packaging, which is superb. With no blu-ray/combo-pack/studio logos, identifiers, or banners like there is on regular blu ray packaging, there is ample room for art without the normal detractors. The art is high quality and well printed, and appears on all surfaces - front, back, and inside. This packaging is one of the higher-end Steelbooks out there and is a good buy for any collector.

I love the Steelbook packaging. I also ordered a few other editions from other retailers, and I am by far the most impressed with this packaging. I also ordered The Hunger Games steelbook after I saw how great this one was. While I don't have every edition from every retailer, of the ones I have, I recommend this one the most. If you haven't seen Catching Fire, I would say it is a lot better than the original Hunger Games. I can't wait for Mocking Jay, and I hope Best Buy carries the steelbook edition of it.

The Film far exceeds anything that could have prepared me for Catching Fire; it was, quite simply, an astonishment on every level. It is so much more than just an action movie; it is also a thought-provoking look at hope, revolution, rebellion, and the importance of government. It's themes encompass grand ideas and touchy subjects with utter fearlessness. Downside is, very politically driven, but overall gets the point across pretty well. Two Thumbs Up in my Book.

I enjoyed this movie. It is definitely a set up for the 3rd & 4th. And I strongly recommend you see the first one before seeing this one. I thought it dealt realistically with some of the trauma (PTSD) caused by the experiences in the first one. It's refreshing to see a movie not gloss over the psychological side effects. The movie is engaging for adults (I'm in my 30s), not just teens. I enjoyed the behind the scenes features of the Blu-Ray.
