First off, I'm writing this as a fan of the books. The movie changes some things, but for the most part, they're good changes. You're not going to be able to fit an entire book into the length of an average movie, and so the directors have to pick and choose what to adapt. In some cases, it works, and in others, it doesn't. While many fans of the book might have issues with certain parts (I know I do), I try not to let that take away from the fact that they did a very good job adapting this, as they did in the first one.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire was a mixed bag. The acting was far superior to the original, as you can tell the two main characters have really grown as actors. That being said.... the focus on Katniss's District 12 love drama is quite stale (an issue lingering from the books to draw in the tween audience). The fight scenes left a lot to be desired. As a steelbook collector, I must say that this steelbook is another hit. I like the steelbook released for the original movie a little bit more, but this one is also top notch.

The second instalment of the trilogy certainly lives up to the measure of the first film. Jennifer Lawrence reprises her role as Katniss Everdeen and we see her life as she lives it after the 74th Hunger Games. As the 75th games approach, she and Peeta (Josh Hutchinson) attempt to adjust to living life as victors. That's when they learn that they will be returning to the arena. Will they be able to survive a second time in the arena? What about the rumors of revolution that were started with her actions in the first games?

While this movie was not as good as the first, it was a good sequel. After seeing the first two we purchased the books becase the movies were so good. Other than the books being written in first person, which would limit the other characters in the movie if followed as there would be no scenes without Katniss, the movies seemed to remain fairly true to the books. There is action and drama, and done very well.

I am a big Hunger Games fan!…I love the story and plot of the these movies! Its an awesome couple hours!…filled with alls kinds of emotion and some action that really keeps ya on e the edge of your seat! I recommend this and the first movie to any one who enjoys a deep story with drama and action! These movies provide for a great mix of both!

If you liked the first movie, or the books, this is a must purchase. It doesn't follow the book completely, but for obvious reasons. The important parts are mostly kept in. Acting is better, cinematography is better, and I feel like this was the best book out of the 3. I saw it in theaters and I enjoyed seeing it again at home on Blu-Ray.

What a great movie , I've wanted to see it since it came out but never had a chance. Once I saw Best Buy was releasing both Hunger Games & Catching Fire with steel books I had to buy them , & I'm glad I did. What a great continuation of this series of movies can't wait for the next one hopefully Best Buy does a steel book for that one too.

After seeing the first Hunger Games, I was hooked, I actually saw it three times in the theater, which is rare for me; I usually see it once and then wait for the BluRay. The second one continued to live up to the expectations of the first and was an immediate purchase when it came out on disc. This is a must have for any movie collection!

This second installment in the Hunger Games trilogy is brought to screen rather magnificently. It did not deviate from the book in many major areas that I noticed. It was sad that the discussion of the existence of District 13 was not really discussed as an over arching theme as it was in the book, but still a very good movie to watch.

I watched the movie and enjoyed it very much. There are political ramifications about equality obviously but I watch it for pure entertainment purposes. Sound is fantastic and blu-Ray visuals are top notch. I highly recommend watching with wireless 7.1 virtual headphones for added awesomeness. Good acting great visuals fun to watch!

I was pleasantly surprised at this sequel to the Hunger Games. Having read the book and enjoyed them I was a bit worried about how much can really be done in 2 and 1/2 hours. The movie was beautiful looking and the acting was great! I enjoyed the movie so much I was actually sad when it was over. It is a fun 2+ hour ride for the fam!

I have not read the books, so the movie is the first I've experienced the series. I thought this was a great sequel to Hunger Games and sets the series up nicely for the next movie! Jennifer Lawrence's performance was excellent. It is sad that Phillip Seymore Hoffman's character is going to need to be recast. Overall, a great movie.

The second installment in an engaging movie series based on the writings of Suzanne Collins. While the first one set the stage for the story, this movie really expanded on it and left you desperate to see the story to its conclusion. Alas, we'll have to wait for the franchise to be concluded in two more upcoming movies. Stay tuned!

It's been awhile since I finished a movie and thought, "wow". I'm a fan of the book series and no movie ever lives up to the book, but this movie was a close try. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to end, thought it flowed seamlessly, and if someone had never read the books, this movie is a great standalone. I highly recommend it.

I seen this movie in the theaters. They did a great job bringing the book to life. The movie was done well, didn't seem like you were concentrating on the special effects/ CG in the movie. It was done well enough that you payed more attention to the plot. The Bluray edition felt like being back in the theater. The movie was great!

I already had a DVD copy and a blu-ray copy of The Hunger Games, but HAD to buy the steelbook versions of both Hunger Games & Catching Fire. These cases make a beautiful and durable addition to any collection. The movie is of course stunning and amazing and will leave you counting the days until Mockingjay hits theaters. :) ENJOY!

My family really enjoyed the movie and can't wait until the last movie. The acting, special effects, and story line were awesome. We are especially proud of the fact that parts of the movie was filmed in Hawaii! We especially liked having the digital copy included in our purchase - that way we can watch the movie any where we are.

The Hunger Games movies are a cut above the average tween fare in my opinion, and "Catching Fire" is no exception. "Catching Fire" focuses less on the Hunger Games and more on the drama and goings on behind the scenes for the contestants themselves–until about 2/3 through the movie. The acting, wardrobe, and set pieces are all nicely done; pretty much what I expected out of this second entry in the franchise. As a PG-13 movie, it goes easy on the violence…but not on story. 4/5 stars from me.

The case sets the copy apart, made more affordable without the DVD copy which i didn't need anyway. My favorite's are cased in steel (Band of Brothers, Pacific) so it only makes sense. That is what sets the Best Buy Exclusive copy apart from other retailers. If you are a Hunger Games fan the rest of the movie speaks for itself.

We came in to purchase Catching Fire on Blu-Ray. When we got inside the store ,we decided that we needed to upgrade all our movies to Blu-Ray. When we got to the register, the sales clerk told us that Catching Fire and The Hunger Games Blu-Ray rang up as a bundle deal and we saved over $13.00!! Great deal!! Friendly associates.
