After watching this movie in theaters, I became a huge Jennifer Lawrence fan! She does an excellent job playing Katiness Everdeen. Plus, Josh Huterchson did good as Peeta Mellark.

With all the reality shows of today becoming more and more extreme, and with the growing chasm between the rich and the poor, this is a sobering look at where we could be headed in the future.

This movie was pretty good, it had some problems, such as the shaky cam. I also feel that Jennifer Lawrence isn't really good at portraying emotion, the whole part where Katniss volunteered as tribute was so robotic and unconvincing, Otherwise, this is an okay movie.

Excellent quality for home viewing. Recommend for viewing in small to medium viewing rooms. Large media room viewing subject to quality of viewing technology.

I enjoyed the world that this movie/book series was set in. For me as a 21 year old the teen soap drama didn't exactly appeal to me but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the movie too much. The second movie was a lot more serious and less soapy than the first.

The DVD has a crystal clear picture. Plus the dolby digital sounds great on my surround sound system. The extras are a nice extra bonus. MY friends and relatives have all watched and borrowed it .

My son was too young when these came out at the movies. He started to read this book and when he saw the movie at the store he had to have it. Great movie good action.

Highly recommend reading the books first, but this movie represents the book well. Somewhat disturbing dystopian story, but somehow you can get past that for the bigger story. Best for kids >10.

Great beginning to the hunger games saga, was worried it would be too much like Battle Royale, but this stand on its own. Great contained movie, that can be watch independent of the others.

This moving took me a while to warm up to, but when i decided it give it a try, i was instantly hooked. It kept me on the edge of my seat, so to speak. Ah, if only the love twist were sincere.

I love this series and already had it on DVD, just had to upgrade to the 4K for the best picture.

I got this and its companion film for my daughter for Christmas. She is very happy with it and all of the extra features that are contained therein. I got many mom points for this one.

Another great movie. I would also recommend this for my friends I've watched it three times and I'm planning to give it to my grandkids so that they can watch it also.

4k transfer is nice although appears to be upscaled. But.. what makes this movie really shine is the Atmos soundtrack! Totally worth the upgrade in my opinion!

Even though this movie has a rather slow build up, once the story starts to kick in, you are set up for a great story in a post-apocalyptic future. This movie sets you up for a wild ride!

didn't buy it when it first came out like I use to buy movies but after hearing everything great about it had to go get it & at the price it was couldn't beat it this is a really good movie

I have to admin, I wasn't too sure I wanted to even watch the movie when it first came out. But, I was talked into going and am glad I did! Donald Sutherland is at his evil best!

Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress. Has very good supporting cast. It keeps me on the edge of seat. Was easy to download digital copy to my iphone and computer. Now I can enjoy this anywhere.

I really liked #1 in the series. I haven't read the books yet, but the movies are making me want to. I originally thought I would end up hating these movies because of the "teeny-bopper" stigma like "Twilight", but after watching it, I just really enjoyed it.

I ordered this movie because I had read the books and seen the movie in the theater. The BluRay disc really does deliver in terms of visual quality. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.
