Although this movie was well advertised, I really didn't want to see it. But when it came on sale through Best Buy, I decided to try it. I didn't expect the drama and surprises that await. It is a good movie!

The movie is good. Now on to what you want hear about. The color saturation and contrast are boosted nicely by the HDR. The 4K imaging is nice it definitely provides an increase in detail over the standard bluray.

The movie was full of action and did not lull very much. I liked the special effects and the theme of the movie. The audio/surround sound was on par with the action on the screen. I cannot compare accuracy of movie to book.

Hope is one of many themes within this visually appealing spectacle of a movie. The acting is outstanding and the characters could be individual movie franchises. This is a great movie that captures the greatness of our humanity.

Jennifer Lawrence was a great Katniss - she was strong and believable as a young girl fighting for her life. The movie followed the book, but games was done "tastefully" so the violence was not gratuitous. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

Bought the whole series for my son as he has read all all the books and he for once said the movie is actually better than the book. All my kids and I can watch it over and over as it's entertaining every time.

I bought this movie for my girl friend she loves this series. I watched it and must say that the movie was really teally good. The plot was great. The scenes were good. The blu ray version has an awesome picture. It was a great buy.

Wow. What a powerful movie. The underlying theme is disturbing to say the least. But Jennifer Lawrence's performance is amazing. She is a star of the future. The film is thrilling. Could watch it many times over. Enjoy!

I purchased this movie because it's a great film, plus I saved enough money with my other purchases that I figured I'd splurge a little more. This film doesn't disappoint and the price added even more value to it. Thank you Best Buy.

So, I've never read the Hunger Games books, but I was blown away when I saw this movie in theaters and introduced me to Jennifer Lawrence, so it's a winner in my book. lots of action and can't wait for sequals.

I had the Hunger Games on DVD but couldn't resist upgrading to HD, especially since it was less than $5. A huge improvement in the picture and sound as well as the Digital copy. A great start to one of the iconic franchises of the past decade. May the odds be ever in your favor.

The Hunger Games is a very interesting and entertaining movie that keeps you involved and wanting more. The acting is more of a group effort in this movie, not one actor really stands out but they all do a pretty good job acting.

I am normally not into anything related to science fiction or fantasy. However, this movie was absolutely wonderful and had my attention from beginning to end. I have recommended it to multiple people and am very pleased I purchased it.

Another good crossover from young adult books to the big screen in the tradition of such series like Harry Potter. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie and it convinced my grandkids to read the books when they had the chance.

Great Movie at a good price at Beat Buy. We also purchased a bunch of 5/.99 - 7.00 movies to add to our collection & this allowed us to spend a little more on the ewer movie we wanted to get having the 1st one we enjoyed as well.

Different kind of movie- Very action packed, has happy and sad moments. Just one movie in the series. You are rooting for the good guys. Has kids in the movie- but isnt appropriate for younger children. Killing

We love this movie! The character development and moral dilemmas they are placed in is just riveting. Bluray is nothing short of stunning in the rich forest backdrop. Great directing, great casting, great performances.

The Hunger games is the first in a series of movies based off of the best selling novel and this release really brings the books to life. a gorgeous forest setting with true hi def picture and sound mixed with a heart racing story and action packed scenes make this a fun movie for all who enjoyed the book.

This is the beginning of the Hunger Games book Trilogy. It is a very good series that delves into the human psyche as well as a great story. There is plenty of betrayal, action, survival, drama, and even a bit of love.
