Loved the movie, disappointed in the ending. Tag at the end was not a cliff hanger that makes me want to see the rest. However, that being said I was very involved in the film. It kept me interested from the beginning, and because of that I look forward to the next installment. Enjoyed the acting and set, was amazed at some of the effects. The director missed his mark at the end.

The first half of the Mockingjay book was very slow to me, but this movie far exceeded my expectations. I LOVE the Hunger Games series, but I was expecting this movie to be a bit boring. After all, in the book, it was all meetings and classes, really. Kudos to the cast and crew for making this a remarkable movie!

I'm a huge fan of the Hunger Games series. I started reading the books around the time the third book in the trilogy came out and was hooked. Part 1 was a game movie, with lots of storyline and some action to set itself up for Part 2. The blu-ray have a fantastic behind the scenes bonus feature that makes the purchase that much better. Finale out in theaters in November!

While looking at the SF description might lead you to believe this Blu-ray is lacking, the Behind-the-Scenes featurette is everything you need! Coming in at a similar length to the film itself, this documentary provides answers to many questions you may have about the special effects, casting, locations & more!

My wife enjoyed the book series and we're both very much enjoying the movies. This one was a bit different as you get used to the flow of the first two movies. Getting past that though and we loved this. We had seen it in the theater but probably watched it another 4 times the first weekend we had it on BluRay

Having twice survived the Hunger Games, Katniss finds herself in District 13. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss reluctantly becomes the symbol of a mass rebellion against the Capitol and fights to save Peeta and a nation moved by her courage.

In many cases the 2nd and 3rd episodes of most any movie franchise falls short of maintaining the excitement of the original movie. This one for me while different from the 1st movie is the exception, with twist I didn't see coming (some I did of course) it left me excited and eager for the next installment.

I bought the Steelbook version of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1 because it included not only the Blu-ray and Digital copies but also a DVD version. The first two Hunger Games Steelbook copies did not include an extra DVD. Great suspenseful movie with multiple ways to watch it: Blu-ray, DVD and Digital.

Good character evolution as Katniss transitions into the Mockingjay. The evil President Snow is cruel as ever as we learn more about what lengths he is willing to do in order to maintain the status quo. Only weakness is that the visuals of District 13 which is an underground fortification is not convincing.

I read all the books and am now collecting all the movies. They stay somewhat true to the books with some embellishments but all in all a great movie. And to get them in a combo pack where I get the Blu Ray for home, the DVD for our camper, and an electronic copy to watch when I travel, what more is there?

This movie has everything the other ones had and more. A fitting beginning to the end of the series this movie captivates you from beginning to end, The effects, the visuals, the story all stunning and Jennifer Lawrence is fantastic!

The movie itself is good. Continues the story of Katniss and changes the focus from the games to the coming war with the Capital. This bluray /dvd combo comes with the digital release, which I was able to redeem for both an itunes copy and a digital copy on other services (like Vudu).

I am always excited to get a new Steelbook package and Mockingjay Part 1 is no exception! My stepdaughter and I saw this movie in theaters and it just arrived in the mail today. We are very excited to have it added to our movie collection and very excited to watch the many extras included on the BluRay :)

Love the steel book special packaging and I look forward to viewing the extras. Great price point on the introduction of this set for the steel book. DVD's are secure and do not jostle around like in some packaging, so less risk of damage. I like the fact that I will have access to a digital version too.

Just like all the movies that are based off a book series this one likes to take the last book and split it between 2 movies.. The first one is boring as heck and no one cares about and the second one that has all the action. This is no exception. There is action but nothing that had me excited. I would only recommend so taht you don't miss any part of the story.

3rd installment of 4, The story continues, and though a bit slower than some of the more action oriented first two chapters, I think it sets up the story nicely for Mocking Jay part II to be an absolute slamfest. Picture quality is excellent, soundtrack is VERY good, with a Dolby Atmos enabled information track overlaying a lossless core 7.1 True HD sound track.

I enjoyed the movie in the theater but when it came out as a DVD I wanted it to add to my collection. I enjoy being able to watch movies several times and "see" things I missed in the first viewing. I have all three of the previous movies and I will watch them before the last edition hits the theater.

I have watched all the movies for the book so i am eager to see how it ends. The movie looks great on Blu Ray and it sounds amazing (i only have 7.1 surround)even though i don't have a Dolby Atmos receiver so i can imagine how it would sound. I would recommend the movie if you are a fan of the series.

I like action movies the best and this has that and a great story line that makes you want to see the next one sooner then they can make them. So I would say if you seen the other ones and kind of liked them you would diffently like this move because of how things seem to be more amp up for this one.

The customer service reps were helpful during the process. I bought it online to pick up at the store to assure I got a steelbook before they sold out. The process was easy to work with and it was an easy pick up as well. I recommend this style for items that you are worried will be sold out quickly.
