I still think the first movie is better, but this one if pretty good too. I don't like that they split the second book into two parts to milk money out of movie goers but that is the way things go now days. The first time I saw the sequel I thought it was slow, but I saw it a second time in a more relaxed setting and thought it was a good sequel. If you are a fan of Hunger Games I would think you would like it.

Love the collector tin! Great movie and series ! I bought the limited edition that was only offered at bestbuy. I hope to see more special tin's in the near future Price was same as other retailers and offered the tin! I do not know what else to say about the movie and series.... It's great and can not wait till the last of the series is out

A lot of people were a bit disappointed in this film but not me. Just incredible as Katniss sees what the rebellion has wrought. A great final performance from Philip Seymour Hoffman. Katniss going back and forth in her emotions. Can't wait for Part 2 on Bluray and hopefully a Steelbook from Best Buy and to see Katniss conquer the Capitol.

I really loved the art on this steelbook edition. And the movie was good too. If you are already a fan of the series you will like this first part of the last book. My only gripe is I wish the studios would allow multiple types of digital copy redemption and not just UV. But that's a bigger issue and will not hold it against this product.

Having read the books, the movies are great adaptations of the stories. Wish they had not split the last book into two movies but part 1 didn't seem like it should have, or could have left anything out. If you liked the first two movies. You will like this one as well.

More of the same movie magic that to those that didn't read the books is begging us to steal a time machine and push the lever ahead slightly to glimpse the final installment of this masterstroke of science fiction and brilliant performances. Loved the story and wished there were more but I guess....ttttthhhhaaattttsss all folks!!

The Hunger Games books went downhill over the course of the trilogy, so that should be expected of the film adaptations as well. Despite the money-grabbing decision to split into two movies, there are some things to be valued in this movie. It is entertaining and generally well executed. It just doesn't have the strongest source material. If you read and enjoyed the books, you will likely enjoy the movie.

Unlike most books brought to film, Mockingjay, as well as the rest of the Hunger Games series stays true to the original story. In this case, if you enjoyed the books, you will also enjoy the adaptation. Jennifer Lawrence gives another amazing and believable performance with a top notch supporting cast. This film is gripping, entertaining and leaves you wishing the final installment would come out sooner.

The packaging and steel case are nice. I like that it comes with a BluRay, DVD, which we store in a case in our Suburban for long trips & last it does come with a digital copy to put on my IPad or one of the android based notebooks we bought for our youngest kids, who are 17 & 18. It's a nice package of perks you only get from Best Buy.

In this part of the series the movie seemed to drag on. The reason I gave it four stars is because atleast the sound recordings was pretty good. In other words it sounded excellent in my home theater. Graphics were as expected from any hollywood blockbuster to be. It did leave a bit to be desired but seems like this is what is done with movie that have sequels and those sequels are broken into 2 parts.

This is the first part of the final book in the series, Mockingjay. They followed Harry Potter's path with splitting the final book into 2 separate movies. I had read the book first just up to the part where this film ends which is Chapter 13 (p. 182) in Mockingjay. Highly Recommended purchase but try and read the book first as I did.

For the past 4 years, our family has gone to see the newest Hunger Games movie over Thaksgiving break. We follow that up by buying the prior year's movie for our daughter for Christmas. So, with this purchase, she now has the first three movies. It sort of keeps our little tradition going. I have to admit that I like the first two movies better than this one, but it's still a decent movie.

Don't misunderstand me, I enjoyed the movie. I've enjoyed the whole series. But of the four this one seems to bring up more questions than it answers. Sure I know the characters, but I don't really get why some of the plot points are there. Even on a couple of occasions I wasn't sure where the story was going. Is Peeta good or bad? Is President Coyne really wanting change or staging a coup? How is President Snow still alive? I mean if you can get people into the capital then take him out! Problem solved. I guess that is why this is part 1 and there is a part 2. I much prefer that to going all LOTR and having a four hour movie that I'll never be able to get through. Still it seemed like 3/4 of this movie was setting up the finale in the last one. I didn't hate it, I'm not going to groan about it. I'm glad I now have seen them all and they do a good job of telling a story I like to see. But if this were the first one I saw I would be hopelessly lost and probably never watch another one. This series definitely has to be viewed in release order.

The movie was great, but lacking. Splitting the last book into two movies, is the growing trend these days, but sometimes it hurts the first movie. Lots of build up with no real payoff at the end, and you have to wait almost a year to get the 2nd part, is kind of lame. One the 2nd part comes out, I"m sure my thoughts on this will change as we will have the "complete movie" instead of just one part.

This particular series is an interesting one for me. I loved the books as well as the movies so far. Part one is the set up for part two. It does not have all the action of the first two but this leads me to believe that part two will be all the more action to set up a grand finale. Part one is a must see for part two in the future.

I don't read a lot of teenage fiction nor have I ever read any of The Hunger Games novels. Although I did enjoy the movie I didn't like it nearly as much as Catching Fire. I'm not a fan of the relationship between Peeta and Katniss. During this movie I constantly hoped they'd kill Peeta off because he just whined to much and Katniss seems ready to call off a rebellion at any moment to protect him.

When you consider watching a movie consider closely that this movie is Part 1. It leads in nicely to the Mocking Jay part of the series. The movie is well done and the story line continues well with unique characteristics of the cast of characters involved. Just remember it is Part 1. There is more to the story that the director is leading up to and building up the story. Otherwise, a good movie.

Got this as an awesome Best Buy Deal of the Day. If you haven't seen the movies, I can't recommend them enough! I loved the books, but also loved the movies. I got this for my mom, because she has watched these movies over and over!

I really enjoyed this movie. Someone told me they didn't like it and was on their phone the whole time in the theater. He saw this before seeing the first two! If you're a fan this is for you! It picks up right where catching fire ended... I docked it a star because i like the movies for the action and this one had more story to it than the first two. overall a great movie if you love the series.

This movie wasn't what I first expected when I started watching the beginning. It was a completely different film from the first two. There's more dialogue than action but it was well put together to see the rebellion that's about to come in the next movie. If your a fan of this movie definitely watch and don't be too upset when the end comes. Only a few months before we will see the conclusion.
