This is a great historic movie about the breaking of the Enigma code. Great acting, great script and best of all a true story. This should have won the Academy Award for Best Movie. The breaking of the code shortened the war and saved millions of lives. This movie shows what it took to do that. A must see movie.

Did not purchase this when first released, but had enjoyed the movie in the theater. Had been wanting to see it again and found the blu-ray at a great price. Some really great acting here and a remarkable true story with an unfortunately sad ending. When will people learn tolerance and acceptance?!

Although the movie theater is nice, It is nice to own the movie so you can watch it a second time and see things you didn't see the first time. It also usually has features that are not available when you watch the movie at a theater. Since this movie had such good reviews I bought this for my movie library.

Wonderfully written, acted and filmed. Should be a must see for everyone because Alan Turing is so important and affected our world hugely. Whether you're a fan or not of biopics this is not your average biopic. It will have you thinking & engaged, it stays with you long after watching. Highly recommended!

Some of my favorite movies are based on real life stories. As with all these stories, you have to remember that the movie will not be 100% historically accurate, but filmmakers tend to keep the overall feel and message of the story intact. Imitation Game is no exception. While watching this movie you feel the excitement of creating something that has never been attempted, you feel the loneliness of being extraordinary, you feel the heaviness of war, and you feel the thrill of success.

Actors Benedict Cumberbatch (playing Alan Turing) and Keira Knightley (playing Joan Clarke) give Academy Award-worthy performances in this intense thriller about cracking the German's Enigma code during the Second World War as well as the despicable way Turing was treated after the war.

I saw this movie in theaters and new I wanted it. I got it for a great price on Black Friday. The BD quality is great and I love that it came with a digital version which I have already downloaded to my UV account. I would have preferred an iTunes digital, but will settle for the UV one.

The way this movie was portrayed,let you know it was written with more emotion than most movies deliver. It was extremely tense and very much to the point.They explained the complexity of the ENIGMA MACHINE.and what it took to beat it. A wonderful movie I will watch over & over.

I really love this movie. It really shows how far we have come in terms of technology, and explains some of the strategies used to win the war back then. I would highly recommend this movie for anyone interested in movies based on real-life events or technology enthusiasts.

Based on a true story, "The Imitation Game" provides some insight into code breaking against the Germans back in the World War. The performances keep the viewer interested but any programmer who focuses on code breaking or algorithms will have an extra appreciation for this movie.

The fascinating story of Alan Turing, who against all odds invented the computer at Bletchley Park in England during WW2 to crack the German coding machines. The story and the Blu-Ray disc are outstanding, making this a must watch for anybody who likes movies made for grown-ups.

One of the best movies of 2014. It probably would have won the Best Picture Oscar if Birdman hadn't pulled off it's magical "one continuous take" feel. A truly great story with superb acting based upon arguably the most historically influential moment of the 20th century.

You can certainly believe all the great press and accolades that have been published about this film. It depicts the tragic and true story of one the world's greatest heroes whose work blazed the path to modern computing. This film is now among my top 10 all time favorites!

When the movie first started and it bounced forward and backward in time, I worried. Sometimes this can get quite confusing. Fortunately, it was very easy to tell where we were in time and to follow the things that were happening. We enjoyed this movie and will watch it again.

I was very impressed with "The Imitation Game." Benedict Cumberbatch's acting was very impressive. The historical magnitude of the story (not only helping to win World War 2, but the progenitor of computer technology) made it riveting. A great story, with great performances.

The casting in this movie was spot on, and the little thought of key to a lot of success during WWII is highlighted in this brilliant movie. Mankind's dogged determination to succeed, and as Churchill said "Never, never NEVER GIVE UP". See it, enjoy it, think about it...

Benedict Cumberbatch probably gives one of his most compelling performances in this film, which pretty much steals the entirety of the film. You actually feel the weight of the situations which Alan Turing had to face, which makes such a great film to watch.

This is a fantastic movie about the guy who broke the enigma code. In inventing computers the protagonist shortened WWII by 2 years and saved millions of lives. The movie is wonderfully acted by Benedict Cumberbatch A must watch for WW2 and History fans.

This is a Top-notch telling of one of the most ignored episodes of World War II. Were it not for the breaking of the Enigma Code, the world might be a very different place. Benedict Cumberbatch's performance is excellent. This could have easily won Best Picture.

This movie is one of the best movie I have seen in a while. This movie not only talks about Alan Turing and his accomplishments, but it talks about social injustice and how far we have come. This is truly inspirational. I would recommend this movie to everyone.
