Did not meet expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this blu-ray dvd for my 6-year-old son's birthday. Half way through the movie we had to stop watching it because the movie was scratched so bad. We tried to skip ahead hoping that it was just the one scratch but it was all through the remainder of the movie. Such a disappointment. We returned it and exchanged it for another movie.

Terrible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There couldn't be a worse Marvel movie. Slow, boring story-line, sub-par acting, and cheesy over-the-top action. The only reason to own it is if you want to claim you own all the Marvel movies.

Why?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bad all the way through, this should've never been made. A major stain on the MCU.

A solid popcorn flick and comic book adaptation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Incredible Hulk is a sort of winning combination of the more serious, story-driven comic book film that has become the trend lately (with excellent results) and the sort of care-free action/sci-fi style that used to be found in comic book films. The result is a fun but simple film that manages to avoid being entirely disposable entertainment. At the center of it all is Edward Norton as scientist Bruce Banner, who after an incident caused him to turn into a giant green monster whenever he gets angry went to hide oout in Brazil, where he went to work in a bottling plant. It's not a glamorous life, but it keeps him hidden and safe until an accident involving a drop of his blood leads his nemesis, General Ross, to find his location. Ross hires special ops expert Emil Blonsky to lead the team that will capture Banner, but of course Banner manages to Hulk his way out of it. Uncovered, Banner makes his way back to the U.S., once again hoping to find a cure for himself. Ang Lee made a film version of the Hulk in 2003, and it was widely pandered by both audiences and critics. I personally liked the film a lot, even though it had nothing to do with the comics. To me it felt like an early sign of the character-driven style that comic-book-adapted films have now become. I was pleased to see that this is not a remake of the first film, but rather a sort of unofficial sequel. Nothing about the first film is really mentioned here, but the first film DID end with Banner hiding out in the jungle in South America, so this can easily be seen as a follow-up to that. No one really needs to see the origin story again; by now, we all get the gist of it. This is worth seeing. It's fun and well-acted. I especially liked seeing Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky and William Hurt as General Ross. They are both perfectly cast. Also, the final battel between the Hulk and the Abomination (who is a visual treat) was one of the best action scenes of the summer. Give this movie a shot if you like the genre. It's good fun.

Fun Hulk Intro
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hulk gets some great shining moments in the later MCU, but this character intro is a solid superhero flick that doesn’t get enough love.

Hulk!

SO much better than the 2003 Hulk.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this movie after seeing it in theaters. I am a big comic books movie fan of both DC and Marvel and was very pleased that they had the Hulk movie redone. It wasn't as good as iron man, which to me is Marvel's best movie yet, but the Hulk is just a beast that can't be stopped his love for Betty Ross makes him more powerful than any foe even though the Abomination is more than a worthy adversary. I loved how they involved the super soldier serum, which is what made captain america, who I was so happy when he died in the comics. In the end you get a little surprise, but not much of a surprise if you are used to seeing Marvel movies because they almost always put something after the credits or right after the movie giving you hope to another film like x-men did with Charles Xavier coming back in a different body, or Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson....mistake) meeting with Tony Stark, all I'm saying is that it would be sweet if the next time we see the Hulk is when he would be fighting the Hulk Buster and that's enough of a clue I believe.

Amazing!! The Hulk finally done right!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Marvel got it right this time. Everything that was wrong with the 2003 movie was fixed this time around. The Incredible Hulk is a great comic book movie. Imagine an updated big screen version of the old TV series and you'll have a good picture of what this one's like. Edward Norton is great as Bruce Banner, bringing the character elements that Bill Bixby made famous, while also adding some great little character. Hurt, Tyler and Roth all do great jobs in their respective roles. When studios hire actors with credibility and talent, good things happen. This movie is good and exciting. Also it's better than the first one. This movie computer special effect was fantastic. I enjoyed this movie.

Thank Goodness!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a major thumbs up after taking into consideration the disaster of a Hulk film made a few years prior. + Edward Norton was a great choice for the role, he does an awesome job! The movie itself could have probably been a little thicker on plot, but the film gets its point across. + As I said in the cons, I was not at all impressed with Liv Tyler's performance in the movie. She is a very forgettable character and isn't very convincing in her role. It's almost like she didn't want to be on set and it shows through. Just my opinion... + Overall, a great movie, especially if you want something to make up for the travesty they released a few years ago. I recommend at least giving it a chance.

Better!...but Still Dissappointing.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, I must admit that this second installment is several times better than the original motion picture release. Even still, I found it dissappointing as a Hulk fan. Anyone who has ever watched the original Stan Lee animated cartoon of the Hulk knows that the Hulk was extremely expressive, and talked NONSTOP trash. Not sure how or when he suddenly became a mute, but I do not appreciate what has become more of a King Kong and/or Beauty and the Beast type of character. He literally said 6 words the entire movie and never more than 3 at a time. Perhaps the biggest stab in the backs of the fans is that his monster enemy in the film (Abomination) can express himself and talks all movie long (almost as much as an original fan would expect the Hulk to). Meanwhile, the Hulk just sits there with no verbal retaliation as if a confused, mentally impaired dog. The Hulk should at least be at equal par with Abomination -having had longer experience going through these transformations and all. Somehow the new beast comes out of nowhere and instantly is more controlled and comfortable being a super being. Now that I'm done venting about that, the movie itself is indeed worth seeing. As a stand alone movie it will entertain you, keep your attention, and dazzle you with animated cinematography and special effects. The plot itself is lacking but it's hard to explain without given too much away. Suffice to say that the plot fell apart at points, left holes, and found a way to make a story which everyone walks in knowing and accepting is an unrealistic concept, somehow feel even less realistic. Conclusion: Non Hulk fans can sit through it without wanting 2 hours of their life back. Hulk fans will enjoy it but end feeling empty.

Truly Incredible....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie is everything that you wanted the initial hulk movie to be and more. The 2003 version of the hulk was such a huge disappointment. This years hulk is the mean, green aggressive unstoppable force that us hulk fans are more familiar with. It actually has a vilian that is worthy of hulks awesomeness! Not a friggin mutant poodle like in the first film. I think this movie should have done better at the box office, but they gave away alot of the stuff in the trailers and movie clips. You should always leave something to the imagination when advertising a film.

Finally Justice...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Aside from the end fight scene, the rest of the movie is story filled and action packed. It doesn't have that same "humor" as Iron Man. But Edward Norton delivers a flawless performance, conveying how much he truly want's to be normal. But constantly is overcome with barriers to his rare circumstances, the military, the trauma, transformation, and so fourth. This doesn't convey the Hulk like Ang Lee's version. He is a monster, with a heart... And the ability to still be a hero. A very real representation of Stan Lee's original concept of "The Incredible Hulk."

incredible action pack movie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I remember watching this as an kid or the tv show. This movie is beautyful and well made, normally when you take animated cartoons an make them into an big motion movie picture its turns out bad but this isn't the case for the incredible hulk 2008, 2005 a very bad movie of the hulk. It was good some decide to remake this in 2008. Thank God they for this remake. The CG effects are amazing and to see it come to live is even more amazing. The plot is very good, screens and color, as well as the acting. This movie is a must have in my collection.
