Good for Bond lovers but could be better

This is the easiest way to get all of the Bond movies, but it needs some work. There is no description for any of the movies, only the title and year. The sound balance for the movies is very off, the action scenes are loud, but the dialogue can hardly be heard.

I purchased this set so that I could start educating my stepsons on the Bond franchise. On a Saturday we watched Goldfinger followed by You Only Live Twice. However, halfway through You Only Live Twice, the disc gave up trying to show the movie. Tried it in another player and it wouldn't even load. I have not had a chance yet to check the other discs to see if any others are having issues, but when you pick two out of twenty-three and one has issues, it's not a good sign.

This is a great collection for those who don't have the entire James Bond collection. I didn't like the Bond 50 version that was out a year or two ago, as it wouldn't fit on my shelf properly and I saw this one coming out in advance of Spectre and it was a good deal, so I got it. I love the James Bond movies, and while I had a handful of the recent ones, I never had a complete set until now. As other reviews have stated, the discs are repackaged discs that came in other packages that didn't sell, they are just the black discs with the 007 logo and the title of the film. They are in thick white blu-ray boxes, less then an inch thick, in three sets, organized by release dates of the film. The first set is from years 1962 - 1977; the second set from 1979 - 2002, and the third set from 2006 - 2015. The box sets have the discs in individual flaps that fold over like a book. And there is an empty slot in the last set for when you get Spectre. There is no digital code for all of the movies, only a digital code for a temporary watch of behind the scenes of James Bond, and featurettes for Spectre. If you already have most or other blu-ray sets, don't bother with this one. If you only have a handful of separate blu-ray sets, go ahead with this one if you can afford it. it's still cheaper than buying Blu-ray's individually of the rest of the James Bond films you need, unless it totals less then this box set. I got this on release date and it was on sale for just over $100, and for 23 films, that's around $5 / film. I only had the Pierce Brosnan / Daniel Craig films on Blu-ray, so this was a better deal for me. I'm selling my duplicate on e-bay. If you're looking for a Blu-ray set with digital downloads for iTunes movies of these or other formats, don't bother, otherwise, if you don't have a complete collection yet, and you're missing a lot, go for it. It's still cheaper then the Bond 50 set, if you can find one, or this set on other websites like Amazon.

With Digital HD (UltraViolet) For All 23 Movies

At $120 it's not one of the absolute cheapest prices out there but still is $100 less than the current price at Amazon. I paid $112 albeit I didn't get the rewards points credit. If You prefer iTunes over ultraviolet the collection bundle is still $150 and probably will go back down to $99 for the Holidays. I have the entire collection on DVD, BluRay times two and now Ultraviolet for viewing at CinemaNow, VUDU or Flixster.

The box says it contains all the James Bond movies plus room for the new movie Spectre. Where is the Never Say Never movie?

Same product, different packaging! Not worth it!

It is a new box that has a 'space' for 'Spectre;' which might be worth the cost, IF you didn't have any of the blu-rays, already, AND it came with a coupon for the future Blu-ray. However, it does not. It also, does not include ANY digital copies, despite all the actor collections (i.e. Sean Connery Collection) coming with them for about the same price, collectively, as this collection. Or buy the James Bond 50th Anniversary collection and the Skyfall Steelbook. In fact, all the blu-rays were the same from the former collection: just the packaging was different.
