Really dated, mediocre movie. Disc is also not great. No reason to get this unless you're a huge fan.

If you are buying this and hoping to get the digital copy don't bother. I bought it says it has it and it does but the code expired over a year ago!

I remember watching this as a kid and the Blu-ray extras fill in the blanks for me that I had as a kid. Awesome version!

This review concerns only the quality of the 2014 4-Disc Blu Ray/DVD set and not the content of the film, which is one of Rogers & Hammerstein's greatest musicals. I saw this film at its original release in the 1950s and own VHS copies of it, as well as the 50th Anniversary 2-disc DVD set. This last is very good in standard definition video and Dolby digital sound. However, this recent Blu Ray in HD video and DTS (Digital Theater Sound) audio is the best available transfer for home theater viewing on an HD 16X9 TV. It is simply stunning on my Samsung HD 55" TV. Thank you Best Buy for offering this at an incredibly low price. Highly Recommended.

This is one of the classics.Unfortunately something happen in the transferto Blu-ray and there seems to be a bit of a blue typecast to many of the scenes. if you're someone who is incredibly fussy about image quality would wait till they come up with a better transfer but I would recommend purchasing at on sale but not at top dollar.

$8 for a great movie and digital copy to boot. Should have bought more and OMG looks great in blu-Ray format.

I used to always watch this movie on Channel 11 when I was a child and as an adult it's even better than ever. You can't go wrong with classics.

A classic with music and acting at the highest levels of the art. This one is for all ages.

Supremely well done Blu-Ray transfer. The film appears as never before.
