I will not be commenting on the movie since movie review sites cover that. I will only review the SteelBook itself, as that is the only thing different about this versus the standard Blu-ray release. Although this release is on the expensive side when compared to the typical $20 week-of-release sale price, it is no more expensive than the standard release. Also, there was surprisingly no damage to it that I usually see on SteelBooks (i.e. spine slashes, scratches on the cover, dents in the case). For the reasons above, I give it 5 stars.

This movie is great and is a good laugh for the whole family. As someone who enjoys pretty much anything DC puts out that's animated this is one I really enjoyed. The other animated features are focused for more mature audiences (which I really enjoy and appreciate), but I don't feel comfortable watching those with the younger generation. That's not a problem with this feature. Plus there are plenty of references to the Batman lore for any fan (either hardcore our casual) to appreciate and have a good laugh. Great movie!

Great movie for the kids also very stunning visually!

We really enjoyed Lego movie and my kids really liked Batman's character so when we found out they were going to do a Batman standalone we were excited. I personally enjoyed the Batman film even better than the original Lego movie. I thought the action scenes were better as well as the sarcastic jokes. My kids range from 3 to 13 and they all enjoyed the film and there is enough humor for adults only to laugh. Its done without being vulgar in an way. If you want some family fun watch Lego movie and then Lego Batman.

The Dark Knight embraces his past and present in this Lego twisted tale of The Batman. Batman must reconcile all his past iterations, and bond with his new ward (aka son) Dick, soon to be wingman The Robin. The fact that Batman can only look him in the eyes, doesn't keep the dynamic duo from confronting the Joker and his take no prisoners takeover and destruction of Gotham City. Only by being his best self, can Batman save Gotham, his new co-workers, friends, and enemies. Oh, and Supes gets to have a cool party.

Loved this movie -- didn't catch it on the big screen but we enjoyed the last Lego movie so figured this one was worth a shot, especially on sale. We laughed plenty and even a 21-year-old (who is at that "action movie only" stage) thought it was an excellent movie. Spoiler alert! The composer incorporated snippets of the original TV series via music, graphics and even a tiny cameo. If you love Batman, DC comics, and / or the inventive Lego universe, you will definitely get a kick out of this latest movie.

The Batman Lego Movie is truly a lot of fun. Wil Arnett returns as the brooding Batman that he played so well in The Lego Movie. It is fun for kids and adults. And Batman fans should find the film quite enjoyable with the many references and good story. But what I really want to emphasize is how amazing this film looks in 4K HDR. The colors absolutely pop. There is so much detail that it was like watching it again for the first time. Matched with an LG OLED, it was an incredible experience.

For long time Lego movie fans, Lego Batman is closer to The Lego Movie than it is the straight to DVD Lego DC Super Heroes films that came before it. This is a big budget, fast moving flick for kids with some hilarious nods to older films and music for adults thrown in. It should keep younger kids' attention while trying to sneak in some lessons about teamwork and loyalty. If you enjoyed The Lego Movie, then consider this a solid purchase. My kids love it, and I enjoy watching it with them.

Ok, I know many adults think that they Lego movies are just for kids, and yes there are a couple of overly schmaltzy parts (especially in the first one), but like many cartoons in the 30's, 40's and 50's (i.e. Bugs Bunny), there is tons of "adult" content that would just go over a child's head. Anyway, this one was hilarious. The script was well written, and the voice acting was well done. Finally, the 4K was again stunning. If you're lucky to have an HDR TV, then you'll be blown away.

I have to be honest. I did not like Batman LEGO Movie when I first saw it in the theaters. I thought it was a less funny version of the original LEGO Movie. But the second viewing on blu-ray 3D at home, I got it. It’s hilarious. There are so many one liners that I didn’t catch the first time. Wow! Apparently I wasn’t paying attention. Belly laughs throughout. Not only that, the 3D Blu-ray is magnificent. The colors and depth are unparalleled in this devastatingly beautiful DVD. If you have a good sound system with a sub woofer, look out! There enough explosions throughout to rock your living room into oblivion. Oh, did I say say the kids will love it? They will. Absolutely. This Blu-ray come highly recommended....

This is the best of the three Lego movies that have been released. I laughed from beginning to end, both times I've watched it. It's a great Lego story, it's a great Batman story, it's just great all around. If you're like me and you grew up playing with Legos and watching Batman, you'll love it, and odds are your kids will too. Plus, Will Arnette and Michael Cera are great in it as well. As a fan of Arrested Development it was cool to see these two together again.

I saw this in the theater (in regular format) and noticed that this would be good to see in 3-D - because of the "in your face" scenes. Many movies I see have a 3-D version, but only a handful of parts were actually made into 3-D. Everytime I lifted up the glasses to test if I was actually seeing 3-D, I saw the need to put on my glasses again! This was an awesome movie to see the first time, with lots of subtle humor for adults. It was even better to see this in 3-D!

I took my children to go see it in the theater, they loved it and so did I. I immediately pre ordered the Unique steel case edition and received it a 24 hours after release due to some shipping error but I am glad I got it. We now have the Bluray, DVD and Digital Copy set for Vudu streaming if ever needed. Tried to upload a picture of what it looks like inside the steel case but it seems that my small picture is too big of a file. Oh well. I would recommend it.

When I took my grandson to see this movie at the theater I did it as a favor to him. However, I was in for a shock. I am a fan of Batman and have enjoyed most of the movies featuring this character, but this movie was much better than expected. The Lego Batman Movie now ranks among the best of all these movies! The Blu-ray disc is highly recommended for maximum viewing quality. I was pleased to be able to add this disc to my family's video collection.

I actually went back to Best Buy and bought the 4K version and let me say it's amazing! It is the best 4k Blu Ray I've seen to date! I have 3 other movies on 4K Blu Ray and for some reason they look more dull and colorless. The Blu Ray versions actual looked better but not Lego Batman movie! This movie has incredible HDR. The blacks are inky deep and the colors are super vivid and pop right off your tv. It's definitely a movie to show off your new 4K tv.

I cannot say enough great things about Lego Batman! It is fun for all, and has so many Easter eggs for Batman fans that it made the entire movie experience for me. A total departure from the serious, and sometimes overly statesmanlike Batman that we have seen. Lego Batman give the character a sense of humor, introduced his personality and struggles, while introducing the gamut of villains, even the ones we wanted to forget. Lol! Absolutely amazing!

Riding on the coat tails of the Lego Movie, Lego Batman continues the irreverent humor that is the spirit of the original film. Batman, the lone vigilante of Gotham gets a lesson in team work, when the caped crusader has unwanted sidekicks coming out of the woodwork to help him, in this hilarious adventure to defeat the Joker's hostile takeover of the city. Where ever you are when you watch this movie, you will be in your laughing place!

Bought it worried that it was going to be worse than the LEGO movie and be more kid oriented, however, after inviting several co-workers over, we all sat down and laughed the whole way through the movie. This movie was hilarious and had one guy crying from laughter. Well worth the money and another great movie much like the LEGO movie. This movie is only about the LEGO versions of the heroes in it, and does not contain any human interactions.

Seeking to top The Lego Movie, Lego Batman shows that you can do a sequel/spinoff and still be successful. It has both humor and heart, Batman still has quite a large ego as he did in The Lego Movie, but it's done in a way that doesn't make you hate him. There are also many, many nods and Easter eggs to previous Batman franchises as well, good luck trying to spot them all.

So, I hadn't seen this movie before purchasing this combo pack. I figured if I didn't love it, I could give it to my sister, who did love it. The movie was fun, and I enjoyed some parts a lot, but I prefer the original Lego Movie to the Lego Batman Movie. The disc set, however, is great! It came with both Blu-ray and DVD, as well as a digital copy, and lots of extra features like deleted scenes and shorts. At $10, this was a great deal!
