Here is the deal, good things happen for those who wait, and I waited to my purchasing of this film until it was $17.99. That is beyond a fair deal and with that purchase comes so much more like special features for the kids and my favorite the digital copy. The movie looks absolutely astounding in 4K. If you have not seen this yet in 4K it is an absolute must!

Got this for my husband on black Friday for $4!!! Regular price is $25 or something. It is an awesome movie for the family to enjoy. It's for kids, I suppose, but there are tons of adult reference points that only adults will appreciate so you will not be bored :) the music is on point and for an animated film, the graphics and entertainment value are excellent. Highly recommended to everyone.

Wow, I did not expect to enjoy this movie so much. A fantastic job bringing the characters to life. The animators achieved unbelievable detail, each Lego world was unique and highly creative. I really enjoyed this film and have since watched it 5 times. Each viewing I noticed a new detail that I had previously missed. Do not miss this one. Your kids will thank you and your inner kid will be happy!

My only complaint about this movie, is that it left me wanting more. I guess movie critics say that's a good thing, but I say too much of a good thing is even better. I thought the movie was hilarious, and had many jokes that went over the heads of the wee little ones. It's probably cliche, I don't know i haven't read other reviews, but I'm going to do it anyways........EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!!

I anticipated this movie, really looking forward to it's originality and humor. However, I just wasn't impressed the first time I watched it. I was slightly confused and I had a tough time giving it my attention, along with several forced courtesy laughs. But the "twist" at the end, THAT'S what made everything snap into place. I gave the movie a second try about a week later, and I was more invested in the story and understood everything a lot gooder. If YOU didn't like it the first time, just TRY to watch it a second time- you may be pleasantly surprised, because everything is awesome!

I purchased this movie at a significant discount leading up to Christmas having never seen it. I'm thrilled to say I was not the slightest bit disappointed. As a 30-something female I found myself laughing out loud at several points throughout the movie while also appreciating the deeper message it conveyed. I can't speak to how it will be received by kids since I watched it by myself. :-)

I was a little skeptical that this was going to be a good movie, but overall it is a good family movie with a decent mixture of humor and real life dealt with in a light hearted way. My 4 yr old daughter loves it, and I actually do not mind watching it multiple times. However I tend to have an eclectic taste in movies. If you are high brow in your tastes then you may not like this movie.

Finally someone makes a great flick based on toys. Just as the LEGO company takes great care with their toy lines they have done the same with their 1st movie. Incorporating various licensed characters as well as their own to build their tale was most enjoyable. Throw in a surprise live action guest star and it works. And a catchy tune to boot. Everything is awesome, indeed!

Extremely funny, clever, and appropriate for all ages. Long list of talented actors doing very funny voicework along with super fast-paced, eye-popping animation. Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are really on a hot streak, able to do family-friendly movies (see "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs") just as well as they can do raunchy, gut-busting adult fare (see "21 Jump Street").

This movie clearly shows the amount of time that was put into creating it. Initially, a Lego movie felt like a easy way to make a buck off of a popular product. Boy was I wrong, everything about it worked in such a way that made you truly believe this is what your lego people were up to when you were not looking. I recommend it to any one with kids, or whoever used to play with Legos.

What a great adventure, and cinematic experience! The creativity and animation bring life to this action packed story. The acting (voice overs) are spot on and whitty. There is simply nothing to dislike about this gem! You will come away with a smile on your face and a feeling of amazement at the twist at the end. Everyione comes away with a favorite character... mine was Benny!

This movie was so much fun! My 7 and 10 year olds absolutely loved it. It has a very clever plot with a few twists. The animation quality was amazing. The DVD/blurry combo comes with some great features, including the "Everything Is Awesome" sing a long (as long as you can handle listening to the song over and over again). This has become one of our favorite movies in our collection.

Both my kids are currently obsessed with this movie- we saw it at the theater and decided then we would get it as soon as it came out. We bought the Blu-Ray disc set with DVD and digital copy, which is nice because now they can watch from the ipad, phone or laptop as well. The movie itself is well worth the price, but with the extras and bonus mini figure it was really a good deal.

Fun movie. Bought it for my little one at the recommendation of a friend. Watched it with her and it was pretty good. All of the voices by very recognizable actors and actresses. Good humor for kids and of course the innuendos for us grown folk. Better than the Batman Lego movie, which I spent almost 75 bucks for a night show for the wife, myself and our lil one, plus popcorn and drinks at the movies. Much rather wait and get the 4K version and watch it on my 75 inch sony 4K tv and Sony 4K Player. Overall fun movie.

The movie, itself, is awesome. The ability to watch it in multiple ways is also awesome. However (and yet, very trivial, I know), what's not so awesome are the non-interactive/dull Blu-ray menus. The special features are pretty decent. I definitely appreciate the quality of the 3D experience. Sound is also pretty top-notch. Overall, what I was mostly hoping for with this release.

Jokes in this movie are not childish or corny, they are just right and hit the mark perfectly. This is definitely a kids movie that everyone in the family can actually enjoy. The fact that I got this for $3.99 on Black Friday does not affect my view on this movie. Get this movie, you won't be sorry. If you have Blu-ray capabilities, this movie will look excellent using it.

My family and I went to the movies to see the Lego Movie! My sons couldn't wait til it came to DVD. My oldest son wanted it for his birthday. We surprised him with the movie for his birthday and he was so excited. They watch it all the time. It is a very good movie! We would recommend it to friends and family. My boys are already wanting another one to come out to the movies!

This was a great movie to share with the entire family. Obviously a big draw for anyone who is into LEGO; my sons (who are in their early teens) still enjoy LEGO and loved the film. The wife and I loved the arcane references to both things from our youth (we left our teenage years 25 years ago) and current events. Fun adventure storyline, great voice acting, and great visuals.

Had to buy it for my kid who had already seen it, but had to have her own copy. The movie is a lot of fun, I see why it's so popular. I really love how they're selling this DVD with a digital copy of the movie. We saved it to the iPad for mobile viewing, and we have an online version we can download to other devices, like Roku. Makes the DVD investment even more worthwhile.

This is a great movie that my kids, as well as myself, enjoyed. The plot is great, but what I really loved about this movie is that it gave a message that everyone is special and can do anything. It also stressed the importance of teamwork, but all hidden in a wonderful story that kept the attention of children. Right after watching it, my 5 year old wanted to watch it again!
