This movie used unique techniques to make the 3d animation appear to be stop action photography form the way the characters moved the extremely shallow depth of focus to the small colored lens artifacts you get from using such tiny photography. It brought a wonderful charm to a delightful story of the characters in this lego wonderland. The voice cast was amazing. The pacing never slows and if you are a fan of the filmmaker's kookiness from back in the day with "clone High' then you are sure to enjoy this film. In short - I dug it:)

Fantastic fun whenI'm in the right mood for it. That mood where you just want something light and fluffy and happy and party-worthy. Funny thing is this movie has a point and purpose - everyone matters. Unexpected twists. I know people who watched 15 minutes and shut it off. Try again in a different mood and you just may supremely enjoy it.

The Lego Movie is one of the rare films that is great for both children & adults. Children will love it - it's funny, entertaining, brightly colored, but so will parents - also funny for them (a fair amount of puns, some parody), there's some social satire ( $36 cup of coffee, anyone?), and it's not brain-numbing like a lot of other "family friendly" fair.

This movie quickly became a favorite of mine. I was a little skeptical at first since it seems to be targeted at kids and I don't have any. I was pleasantly surprised. This film is great fun for people of all ages. Definitely worth a watch and worth owning. Having a copy on blu-ray is always a better option than relying on low quality streaming services.

This is a great movie. I think the visual effects are stunning in bringing Lego characters and the entire Lego world to life. It is a blast to watch, not to mention the great plot. Sending a message that the world of Lego and imaginary play is limitless. You are never too old to be a kid. Also good that it is rated PG so people of all ages can enjoy it.

This was a great concept that Lego has been deveolping on the film/ TV industry. A movie that provided with a basic story line that we see in tradtional family movies, but..... with Legos!!! That in it self provided a lot of entertainment along with the plot twist you couldnt expect. Overall, it was a fun movie for the family and lego lovers out there.

Long live the individual! This movie is full of subtle and not so subtle jabs at society and conformity. Great hidden gems for the adult as well as just good clean fun for kids (of all ages). We have watched this film as a family again and again and it always seems to get laughs and smiles. Great cast. Great script. Actors seemed a bit plastic though.

I love Best Buy because they constantly are having great deals on Blu ray movies and this movie even comes with a DVD for normal players just in case your lending it out and someone does not have a Blu ray player. I always will make sure I look to see if a movie comes with a regular DVD now too! Grab this movie cause it's great for the kiddos! :)

Great family fun with morals and legos. Now it looks gorgeous in 4K HDR. Best way to watch this movie as you can see details like fingerprints and paint imperfections which is nice because it's a reminder that there is a lot of great work put into making this film. Top that with a great cast and it is fun every time you watch.

Saw this in the theaters with my son & couldn't wait for this to come out. Awesome on Blu-ray with a lot of additional features & bonus deleted scenes. My only nitpick on the Blu-ray, I wish that when you paused the movie, there was some type of screen saver or put up some fun facts about Lego's or something like that like some other Blu-ray's.

I really wasn't expecting a whole lot from the Lego Movie besides a fun nostalgic adventure, but I was pleasantly surprised. The movie has incredibly quick and clever humor brought together by it's fantastic cast. Though it definitely is a very fun adventure flick, it manages to have a lot of heart and a great message. Overall, It's awesome.

When I first brought the family to watch The Lego Movie in the theater, I was a bit hesitant as I thought it was going to be a cheesy kids movie. To my surprise, it was actually entertaining with a wonderful story. Some great comedic actors were involved in the film, as well. As my kids would this... "Everything is AWESOME!!!" about this movie. And to have it available on blu-ray to watch at home makes it an affordable night at home. The extras (especially the Everything is Awesome sing-a-long) were pretty cool.

The movie is fun, not only for kids, but for all Lego fans. Very cute 80’s character placed in the movie. A lot of extra content inside, that will interest all ages including kids. The package is nice; bonus wizard character is fun, the 3D standing picture a bit odd but my kids like it. What else to say it’s the Everything Is Awesome Edition.

If you were a fan of the the old Warner Bros. Cartoons (Looney Tunes, Merry Melodies, Etc.) you appreciate the dual level entertainment of this animated film. Never owned a Lego in my life, but my kids had some. The cultural references, tie in's to famous characters from all manner of different movies and shows, and the humor were top notch.

I bought this movie for my twin boys because we were going on a road trip. My boys really enjoyed the movie and has watched the movie repeatedly, even if it's on cable. It's a very creative movie and in our house, we are a fan of Lego's, so they were even more excited to watch it. I'd recommend it any other parent that has boys.

I'll start off by saying that I was a bit skeptical before purchasing. As a lifelong lego fan I had high hopes for this movie and my expectations were exceeded. The visuals are beautiful, plot interesting, and voice acting superb. By far my favorite character was Batman. I ended up purchasing 3 as gifts and they absolutely loved them.

This is a true all ages movie… kids & adults will find something to laugh at, and great lessons, as well. Can't be beat! I bought the DVD + digital download, thinking I'd get a code I could use on iTunes, but no… I had to download Flixster & UV… it was annoying & now the movie is hanging out in a separate app from all my other movies. :-/

My three kids (ages 7, 9, and 12) adore this movie. We're a family that has more LEGO sets than we can count and this movie played out much as their imagination does when they play with LEGOs at home. The movie shows characters from seemingly every set ever made and has new characters too. Blending plot lines and humor make this a winner!

This movie is so much fun - and hilarious! My kids (4-6 y/o) love it as much as we do. Everything in the movie is built out of Legos, all of the sound effects (a plane flying, for example) are noises a kid would make with his mouth, the language is not bad for kids to hear but still manages to be funny. Definitely a 5 star kid movie.

This really is my favorite movie I've seen so far in 2014. It certainly fits into the "family friendly" category, but it's genuinely enjoyable and fun to watch no matter one's age. The plot is a simple, some might argue cliché, adventure/hero's journey, but coming from beautifully animated Lego characters it's charming. It's a must watch!
