This movie is so clever and well done. We bought it for our 6 year old twin granddaughters. This particular package came with both a blu ray and a dvd version so we were able to give a copy to them to take home and keep a copy for ourselves. All of us enjoyed this movie tremendously. This was the second time the girls had seen it and the first time for us. They already loved the show and we had so much fun watching it! There were jokes in there for viewers of all ages and so many great lines that we found ourselves repeating and chuckling about long after. I have a feeling there will be more watchings in the future. Definitely a good buy for our familu!

The Lego Movie is a fun film for all ages, and as a man in his late twenties who grew up building Legos, was a wonderful trip down memory lane. The film is very clever, using the building blocks in smart ways and never coming across as a commercial for the products. The idea of conformity versus being creative is an important lesson for kids and adults alike, and the humor hits all the right notes. The voice acting is delightful, especially Will Arnett as a self-absorbed version of Batman and Liam Neeson as a cop with multiple personalities. The extras are geared towards kids with the music videos, but the overall presentation of the bluray is wonderful.

I must say, that before I watched this movie I was very skeptical. I loved legos as a kid, but I didn't think they could make an actual movie based on legos. Well, I was proven wrong. This is one the most best family movies ever created. This really is a movie for people of all ages. Surprisingly I consider this an emotional roller coaster - as you have comedy and you also get a lot of heart. The movie is voiced by an all star cast. Although the movie is based on legos, I have to say, the best parts of the movie takes place during the human scenes - with Will Ferrel. This is a must own in any movie collection.

I saw this in the theater opening weekend & that day my Lego loving nephew already knew he had to have this on DVD. His mother bought him the early release digital copy but this came out 2 days before his birthday and he was expecting to see it as a gift. The price I got was awesome & it came with free delivery on release day. I always enjoy Lego shows, they are funny & there are always things you don't catch the first or even 2nd time. They make smart quality shows and now even a movie. My other nephew who hates Lego enjoyed this movie. Batman is a great character, and there are so many funny lines I can't even quote one or two. Enjoy!

There's a reason why this movie stayed as the number 1 in the domestic box office revenue for 2014 (recently upended by Capt America 2), the movie is really fun to watch, this is the first movie by lego that I've watched and I must say the storyline is great and yeah I can see myself watching it again and again with the family. As for the this blu-ray edition, it includes 3D, regular Blu-ray and dvd, the extras are nice, the minifigure is a nice to have if you collect legos specially if you collect the lego sets related to this movie., the 3D photo of Emmet I can do without but it does add an overall great presentation in the packaging.

It's rare that a movie outside of Pixar can cater to children and keep adults completely entertained. This is that movie. The comedy rides the line between farce and social commentary. A great parody of The Matrix while not relying on references to drive the story forward. Nothing inappropriate snuck in (minus a joke about a pirate having a hard time wiping with a hook), so feel free to let the kiddos watch without fear of corrupting them (as long as that joke wasn't over the line). Bluray has TONS of features and about a million versions of "Everything Is Awesome" playing throughout menus and special feature credits. Enjoy!

My kids 3 and 6 are very into Legos. So when this movie came out they were very excited to see it, me too. It is very funny all the way through. It has quite a bit of violence that I wasn't really expecting. One of the Legos gets it head chopped off (pops off like Legos do) 2/3 of the way through the movie. Lots of car chases and guns and lasers. The overall plot I thought was very clever although I'm not sure my kids really got that but still toughly enjoyed it. Everyone in our family really enjoyed it and I'm sure will be watching it many times. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!! Oh and it does have the best kids movie song ever...

I was not going to purchase or watch this movie at all, but I had an unexpected change to visit Lego Land. I was impressed with Lego Land and the themed displays, the Work Shop, and the exhibit of the movie set for the Lego Movie - so much so that I decided to purchase the movie and see what it was all about. The movie meant more to me because I went to Lego Land than if I just watched the movie. The movie does have a decent plot and message at the end that can be appreciated by both children and adults - especially adults and working professionals and managers of people - an educational opportunity.

The LEGO Movie is truly a great film for the entire family. Adults may easily shrug off this film because they think it's just a kids movie but it's definitely more than that. The film balances the humor so well that there are parts that are enjoyable for kids and adults. The all-star cast of voice talent really help to launch this film above and beyond most animated films these days. With actors like Morgan Freeman, Chris Pratt, Will Farrel and Elizabeth Banks you get some quality performances and very funny moments. I would highly recommend that any family sit down together and watch this film.

I avoided this movie initially because I saw nothing of value to me. Friend I have who saw it came back with mehs. I finally wound up having to watch it when babysitting someone's kid. And you know what? I really, really enjoyed it. The star-studded voice-over cast was fun to listen to and much of the comedy was very entertaining. Batman and Uni-Kitty were just hilarious to me and there was a surprising bit of existentialism towards the end. That had me chuckling as well, considering I had seen this as a mere child's movie. At any rate, it's funny, entertaining, and my kid loves it. A trifecta.

Emmet, (Chris Pratt) a mild mannered construction worker who's never had an original idea in his entire life, finds himself on a journey of creativity and danger when he falls for Wyldstyle, (Elizabeth Banks) a beautiful Master Builder. Everyone believes Emmet to be the prophesied savior except for Batman (Will Arnett) who is Wyldstyle's current boyfriend so he must come up with a plan to stop Lord Business from destroying the Lego world with the "Krugle" and prove his worthiness to win Wyldsatyle's heart. Did I mention that he's never had an original idea in his entire life?
