Ok movie nothing great but my kid enjoys it so....

Great movie I would definitely recommend to a friend

Emmet, (Chris Pratt) a mild mannered construction worker who's never had an original idea in his entire life, finds himself on a journey of creativity and danger when he falls for Wyldstyle, (Elizabeth Banks) a beautiful Master Builder. Everyone believes Emmet to be the prophesied savior except for Batman (Will Arnett) who is Wyldstyle's current boyfriend so he must come up with a plan to stop Lord Business from destroying the Lego world with the "Krugle" and prove his worthiness to win Wyldsatyle's heart. Did I mention that he's never had an original idea in his entire life?

Great 4K version if you like the LEGO movie series

The Lego Movie is every Lego lover's dream. A host of Lego characters - legacy and newer - take the viewer on a fun, imaginative, romp through scene after scene of Lego "eye candy". The Lego aficionado will want to study every frame of the film to absorb the richness of the creations. Parents will enjoy the playfulness of the movie as much as the kids, and they will also appreciate the mild content. If you are concerned about whether this film is just one massive commercial for Lego, let me assure you that it doesn't come across that way. In fact, everything is awesome!

When I first heard that they were making a Lego Movie i couldn't believe it. Then I saw the cast list and was just blown away! This movie is for anyone, but for those of you who sat down as a child and played with legos or still do (myself included) this movie will have a special place in your heart. And if you think it's going to be similar to Toy Story, you're wrong. Its not even close. Its about something else, it's about how everyone can be creative and everyone is special in their own way. You'll just have to watch and figure out all the details.

Yes 5 stars should mean no issues but this was a packaging issue nothing that Best Buy did. Received my copy of the movie labeled as Blu Ray when I expected the Combo pack including the digital copy. I called customer service and they responded quickly by sending me a second copy. The second copy was labeled similarly so I called again. This time I was asked to open the packaging and discovered that all three copies were enclosed. As for the movie itself I love it and Best Buy was extremely helpful with solving my minor issue.

The Lego Movie is a chance to return to your childhood, when all your Legos were in the same box and who knows what else snuck into that box. It combines the imaginative fun of Legos with sophisticated humor that will have adult and kids alike enthralled. Buried inside the fun though are lessons about teamwork, about accepting others for who they are yet inspiring them to be the best they can be. The animation feels like stop motion but is absolutely beautiful and the voice acting is incredible. A sequel can't come soon enough.

The Computer Generated Animation is superb, the story line is cute, and the characters are fairly believable. It is a good family movie, with the slight caution suggested below. ***Spoiler Alert*** Towards the end of the movie, we step out of the Lego Universe into the real universe and there is a touching confrontation between a father and son. The resolution has father becoming more involved with the son's world and joining his play. This might be hard on children whose father is not involved in their family or lives.

I picked this up for a friend's 3 year old who was spending some time with us, to keep her amused. Well, I set up the DVD player so I could just pop it on to surprise her, and watched a few minutes .... which became over an hour and I could not get enough of this movie. Do splurge on Blu Ray if you can; we got the double set of DVD and Blue Ray copies and I will tell you the subtle at times but always obvious superiority of the Blu Ray disc will keep your enjoyment of this very funny and clever movie sharp at all times.

I Bought the DVD/blu-Ray/digital copy online but received a blu-Ray copy packaging.After trying to exchange it for the correct formats I was informed that according to the SKU# that was what I had ordered. I showed my email confirmations etc and after much discussion the manager asked if he could open the package and inside was all 3 formats even though the outside packaging was only showing blu-Ray. In the end everything worked out great but was quite confusing. Product and price was great and shipped quickly!

The movie has a nice story line with an lesson for one and all. Along the way there is good humor; some targeted to the young and other quips for the old with subtle references. All in all I thought the movie was “awesome”. What is NOT awesome is the marketing and packaging of the releases. I wanted the 3D version of the movie but it was only available with the “Everything is Awesome” edition which includes a Lego minifigure and a plastic 3D head (which I did not want) at a much higher price than just a 3D movie.

Having played with legos for years as a kid, I was definitely interested in seeing this, but I figured it would be only aimed at kids with a generic message that'd be easy for them to understand. What I didn't expect was a thought-provoking film that was also hilarious to boot. Phil Lord and Chris Miller strike a perfect balance between the two elements, and the CG is so good that you could've told me it was entirely stop-motion and I would've believed you

I think this is a great movie for the whole family. It does skew towards a father-son relationship story. My 10 and 7 year old boys love this movie. There are a lot of funny one liners and the animation looks like stop action but is really all CGI. The blu-ray 3-D set extras are great. Is it worth the extra $30 for the exclusive lego minifigure, cardboard Emmit head and blu-ray extra on lego master builders? Maybe not for the average fan but we got it on sale so yes for a hard core fan like myself.

I wasn't really into this film in the theaters, but having watched it with the fam since, we knew we'd need to add it to our collection. The disc and box are on par with what I've come to expect from Hollywood these days. It's not spectacular or anything, but it doesn't diminish from the other films in my collection either. My only beef with this product was that the digital code had expired prior to purchase, which is likely why it was on sale

SPACESHIP! SPACESHIP! SPACESHIP! Benny's spaceship scene is my absolute favorite in the movie. I really enjoyed playing with Legos in my younger days and this movie brought back some very fond memories. But even if you're not familiar with Legos, this is a very fun, entertaining, hilarious movie - and as with most animated films these days, it comes with a heartwarming lesson. Watch and you'll see why the Rotten Tomatoes ratings are so high... it's a great movie for all ages. Highly recommended!

Great movie overall, and actully has a touching side to it for parents. Kids really seem to just love this movie, and want to watch it over and over. The theme song is pretty catchy, and may lead to the purchase of the soundtrack (..be warned). Lots of intense action and some adult themes, but overall the end is very touching for parents even though kids may not get it. Great movie to add to the kids' movie collection, and is a sound investment if your kids watch it as many times as mine have!

I can honestly say that I got more than I bargained for in this movie. Lots of kiddy humor, but also lots for the adults as well. Many younger viewers will miss subtle jabs at pop culture by Batman and other characters, but it didn't lessen the enjoyment for my little ones. As usual, there's a twist at the end, but a heartfelt and meaningful one, if a little heavy handed. Still, it was good enough for me to plunk down $20 on the BluRay when it came out, so I'm hardly complaining. Recommended.

I was very much looking forward to seeing this despite the hype. Some movies like that disappoint, but this one does not. Very funny takes on a number of standards, from super heroes and prophecy story lines to underdogs against overwhelming odds. And it doesn't take a Lego master builder to appreciate the story, animation, etc., although there is enough Lego action for them as well. All in all, a very clever take on the world of Legos, with enough to keep both kids and adult kids engaged.

This movie is awesome. My kids 8 &5 love it. So do I. I was a lego maniac as a kid, and must say the brand has expanded, and not in a bad way. The entertainment side of lego is hitting a home run at every at bat. From Marvel to Lord of the Rings. To capitalize on all of their trademarking they came up with an original story that encompasses the entire lego universe. My children watch this movie every chance they get and it never gets old. So yes I would say get it, watch it, and love it.
