    I don't know what to say about these "live action remakes". There's no real point other than to line Disney's pockets...again for a story that's already been told. In some cases, told better. One star lost for un-originality, one star for lack of DolbyVision.

    The original Lion King is a classic and this will never be that. The music is less memorable and the animation looks jarring at times. But overall it keeps the kids engaged with the storyline. I just bought it during a holiday sale for the storybook design.

    I thought that I was getting the animated version. I didn’t realize that I purchased the next feature. It was more than an month before I realized it so I couldn’t return it. I guess I’ll watch it one day when I’m not doing anything.

    The strayed way too far from the original. It barely gets three stars because of the underlying theme is from the Lion King and some of the iconic songs. Had the movie stuck to original it would have been much better and perhaps better casting of the voices.

    Its incredible what they can do in movies now and this movie is a good example. I gave it 3 stars bcz it's a remake and I know the story all to well so I'm a bit biased. Amazing CGI with a good message. I imagine younger viewers would give a higher rating.
