Good movie steelbook was dented not the first time

Not good. Boring. Beautiful to look at. HORRIBLE to watch. I fell asleep during the first song; just couldn't wait to be king...the adult humor changed from the instant classic. I guess at the end of the day the question is why???

I only bought this cause I'm a hardcore TLK fan and needed it for my collection. I honestly don't really like the movie compared to the original. It's beautiful, but just kinda lost all its charm. Also they ruined scar and his song.

This DVD looks fantastic. The visuals are jaw-droppingly cool. But compared to the original animated movie, the story and the music is not nearly as well done. Honestly, if I chose only one, it would still be the original.

Good classic Disney movie. I grew up watching the animated version and had high expectations for the new version. I felt some scenes were changed and dialogue was modified. Definitely a must see but I’m bias to the animated original.

I think seeing the original soooooo many times ruined it for me. It was way to close to the original. Thats why i loved it and dislikes it. Dont get me wrong, its amazing. The visuals are stunning and Favreau nailed it.

You'd really wish Disney would step up with their offerings. Instead you're given a pretty generic front cover and just a random clip from the movie inside. It doesn't help that the movie itself felt unnecessary.

The voice actors were phenomenal but this movie felt kinda lifeless and was really an unnecessary movie to remake like most remakes. Beyoncé amazing though as always

An okay movie not as good as the original but good for what it is individually of that. Case was cracked on one side at the bottom but otherwise everything is good and in working order. Disc looks fine.

The special effects were spectacular, state of the art but the movie is unnecessary and derivative. Recommended if you love the animated film and for the digital effects but otherwise you don't need to see it.

This is very close to being a shot-for-shot remake of the animated classic. The look of the animals is amazing. But almost every performance was worse than the original (which is insane, because this is an amazing cast). If they had just used the audio from the animated version this would have been a better movie. Timon and Pumba were BIG letdowns in this version, my kids didn't like them at all. Overall, this film does not need to exist. It's just a worse version of the beloved classic. I gave it 2 stars for the technological aspects.

It takes a while to get accustomed to the talking animals. The movie is an actual CGI replica of the original. I don’t think there’s anything there visually but it is sample material on mY OLED.

Definitely wasent expecting it to be a dull movie i think the original cartoon version is way better plus it didn't have that spark where the main scenes happen they should of had a better cast.

Didn’t like the movie that much. I’m partial to the original. But the 4k picture quality is excellent as well as the sound. But your kids will probably like it

Not the best live action movie. I would suggest renting before purchasing unless you must have it for your collection. Nothing beats the original animated movie.

Having watched the original and 3D animated versions of the lion king and found this version just OK. There wasn't too much excitement or anticipation going through the movie.

I got a great discount on this. Overall, if you’ve seen the lion king, you’ve already seen this movie. The animation was great, and the voice acting decent.

Not as good as the original. I like most "live" versions of the classic stories, but this one did not do it for me. No where close to the original songs.

This movie doesn’t hold a candle to the original 1994 film but it is a visual treat for your eyes. Incredible visual effects are the hallmark of this movie.
