I own the original Disney animated film and I bought this to add to my collection. The animals and scenery look very lifelike and the movie is very entertaining. I will say there was more emotion and fun in the original animated movie, but this was quite a visual treat if you love watching animal movies.

I love all things Lion King and I love this movie, but I still like the animated film better. Jon Favreau is movie magic and I cant wait to see what he does next since this offering was really good, but not his best. Currently I'm watching The Mandalorian and that it so much better. I think kids will love this movie so I would recommend it. Movie enthusiasts will love to debate which one was better between the versions. I like animated better.

I’ve been waiting for the release of this movie on DVD! I bought the set with the DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital copy. It’s so convenient to have the digital copy as well because we can watch it on Amazon Prime. The animation is beautiful! My 4 yr old son loves to sing “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King”.

Great live action animation of a Disney classic. True enough to the original (which is one of my childhood favorites) while still adding some modern flair and humor to ensure it's not the exact same movie. (In case you were worried, I personally would not have cared as I love Lion King.)

Not as good as Aladdin which i loved! Good old lion king wasn't a fan of the song changes like the originals better but good cgi not sure why people said bad things visually looked great. I just couldn't get past the song changes and beyonce especially in my humble opinion sounded horrible. Donald killed his verse hers i didnt like guess i expected to much from a pro singer but id recommend a purchase. If you are a Disney fan like me.

The creators did an amazing job capturing the nostalgia of a childhood brought up on the Disney animated movie. The beautiful artwork on the steelbook cover is perfect. It's a gorgeous addition to my steelbooks collection! Best Buy is by far the leader in putting out amazing steelbooks!

Love this remake, I know people are upset it's pretty much a real life version of the original, exactly the same but if it were a complete different story, people would still find a way to talk negative about it. This film is great and still gave me those feels I got at a young age.

Better than the original one because of the visual effects has made all characters looked real and amazing!! However, the voices and singings from the original animated were absolutely much better. We missed outstanding Jeremy Irons as Scar, Whoopi Goldberg and many others voices. The only thing that had saved the movie was the voice of the best and only James Earl Jones as a major character Mufasa (Simba's father)...

Of course loved the original but I was still definitely entertained with this one. Personally I think Jon Favreau did an amazing job. With the exception of one random song I enjoyed it start to finish. Visually stunning, so add that to 4k and it just makes for an awesome watch!

This is a good version of the Disney Animated classic, as it is essential a shot for shot remake. The visuals are awesomely mind blowing & huge steps forward in movie making technology. The Steelbook is an exceptional addition to any collection & the digital copy is a huge bonus.

This movie is visually stunning. Since the plot is already familiar from the original, try to focus on all the details. The attention to the smallest details that then zoom out to the largest action or scenery is amazing. It definitely reaffirms the whole circle of life theme.

The story of Simba in computer animal. Excellent graphics transition from the original with every detail from the original cartoon version transitioned in computer animation. Very realistic characters, surreal, very detailed makes each character come to life off the screen.

I grew up watching the animated version of The Lion King and this remake follows through to the original in almost every way. If you're looking for a good family film, then I highly recommend picking up a copy of this remake if you're a big fan of the animated Lion King.

The lion king live action remake is wonderful. Beyonce's music sounded like she's singing in 2003 instead of 2016's lemonade, of which I like the former of. Also, the movie was longer because of extras scenes from the 1994 edition like be our guest and extra hyena gimmicks.

We watched the digital copy on our new Samsung QLED 4K HDR smart TV. What a fantastic remake of the original 1994 animated movie. The only character voice that was the same was James Earl Jones. (Mustafa). We still have the 4K Blu-ray and DVD to give away as gifts.

The steelbook has some cool art. Though I didn’t like the movie as much as I did the new Aladdin, it was still worth the purchase. I felt some of the voice acting was overdone (Beyonce) which was annoying at times, but overall it’s a minor gripe. The discs audio / video looked & sounded great on my 65” TV & 5.1 surround. Definitely worth the cost of purchasing if you’re a fan of the original.

As a huge fan of the original I had reservations about this seeing as it was a remake. After seeing it in theaters my fears were laid to rest. It was just as awesome as the original, so when I saw it had released on 4K Blu Ray I had to cop it. Highly recommended!!

I bought this for my 5 year old neices 8th birthday and she loved it. Watched it the night of her birthday then we got the whole family together the weekend after and we all sat and watched it again. I never heard an 8 year old stay that quiet for that long!!

I havent gone through the extra features yet, but I thought the movie was gorgeous. My one major qualm with the film is that they tried to go ultra-realistic with the character design and animation and the animals dont emote... at all. Its kind of weird when its a straight lion face and the character is really sad or really happy. Besides that I think its another "live action" win for Disney.

This version of The Lion King was amazing! The cartoon version is delightful, but the grandeur of this one is beyond beautiful. The cubs are adorable. The landscape is breathtaking. The music and storyline is incredible. A delight for the entire family!
