It's the Lion King, can't say anything bad about it. Don't confuse this with "Live Action", it's not, it's all CGI, but the story is there and the music is amazing, so it's still good.

If you like the original, maybe you will be disappointed by the live accion. Even though the story didn't change at all. The truth is that they eliminate parts from the original film.

I really liked this movie yea I'm a little disappointed that i was basically a scene for scene re shoot of the original but still lots of fun to watch specially if you have a good 4k HDR TV then wow this movie just looks amazing i mean it doesn't even look like cgi it looks like I'm watching a nature documentary truly amazing what can be done with special affects and of course it's always better when it comes in a steelbook gotta love that nice packaging lol and on sale for only 14.99 you can't go wrong i love it.

for me this movie was ok, my kids loved it. but I just think there trying to hard with these live action movies. they cant top the jungle book, that live action movie was amazing.

Was this a desperate attempt for Disney to make another buck? Absolutely! Was it worth buying a live action remake of an original animated classic? Sure, why not? I love the Disney live action movies as well as the originals. The animal effects were amazing, and the script is classic too. I'm glad I got it!

This would of been an amazing film if I haven't seen the classic. The classic is so lock in your brain to the point where this one feels like a generic version of the real deal.

Scar is definitely more sinister in this version and the voice actor for Timon is just annoying. Almost a shot for shot remake and played it really safe with no originality.

The best thing about this movie is it is basically a shot for shot live action version of the cartoon. Some people don't like that, but I was struck by how real they made it look. It does lack some of the personality of the original, but it is visually amazing. Must get it on 4k if you have that kind of TV

This move was a surprize to me and my family. It turned out way better than we all thought it would be. I does match up with the animated version to about a 90% accuracy. I think you would be surprised by it too. I know this was a CGI movie, but it wasn't noticeable. I enjoyed it much better than I thought I would.

I was reluctant to watch this as I am a big fan of the original and didn't like the idea of a remake. Boy was I wrong. This the most vivid and realistic CGI driven movie I've ever seen. In 4K this is a true reference disk. If I didn't know any better I would swear animals could really talk. Why did I wait so long to buy this.

The screenplay is the same as the first one with really no little tweaks like Aladdin. James Earl Jones probably was able to read his original script, word for word.

I have always liked the story line but they should have stopped at the animated version. I don't think the animals looked that real and it took away from the plot.

I love The Lion King. This movie closely follows the cartoon version but has a life all its own. The steelbook case is beautiful and I am happy to have it in my collection. I wish it had a dvd version in this set so we could play it in the car dvd player but other than that I have no complaints.

My husband and I went to see this in the theatre and we were both very impressed with the graphics, music and background. I always watch the extras on how the film was made and it is just so interesting, utilizing drones to give the person the feeling of flying, up to the smallest detail. Would definitely recommend.

This Lion King version is a little different from the animated one, but I like them both. When I saw this in theaters I felt like I was 12 years old again. I was 12 years old when the animated version of ‘The Lion King’ came out in 1994. Actually I was only 11 but I was a month shy of my 12th birthday.

Beautiful movie. Pays homage to the original, but provides a new experience that earns its own place. As a fan of The Lion King, I'm happy to have both movies in my collection, because each conveys the same great story but under different angles and feeling. In that sense, both movies coexist nicely.

So I'm a huge fan of The Lion King but this movie lacks emotion and passion that the original had. I felt the emotions of the characters while watching the original. To add, it was a great sing along as well. This new movie is the exact opposite. I bought this movie for my 14 year son. He likes it but like the original better also. Maybe smaller kids will find it a lot more entertaining.

wasn't a big fan of the jungle book or any other live action film with animals talking until I saw this. I didn't even like the original lion king but something about this film was more engaging and fun. you won't want to miss it and it's pretty creative. i also loved watching the special features of the work that went into making this. If y'all didn't know, this is from the same director as Iron Man and he plays Happy Hogan in the MCU

The movie to me was just ok. I guess knowing what was going to happen took away the surprise . I did love the graphics and the sound with the 4k format.

Just like the other live-action movies from Disney, I wasn't sure another live-action of a classic was going to cut it. This one was great! The way they did the lions was fantastic and the story of course is just a fun as the original. Timon and Pumbaa are still my favorite :)
