What helps tell the story in a lot of these animated movies are the yes and how when these characters are scared, the eyes protrude out or get really big. They don't do that in this movie. The animals are emotionless while speaking because they went for making it look as real as possible. Would have deviated a little bit and make the fur real, but add some emotion to the eyes to make the movie work better. Still, they did a fantastic job.

Really good movie. I am not a fan of usual Disney movies as i can't stand animated movies or shows, but seeing this in almost live action is very nice. The animals and scenery look gorgeous, and the cast is good. Im not a fan of Seth Rogan but his role in this was hilarious. Steelbook was also a plus.

Ok. I guess I’m a bigger fan of the older Disney movies...don’t get me wrong, the movie was good. I think they could’ve added some more scenes in it!

The movie was not as funny as the original. It did follow the cartoon almost to the tee however, the original, the cartoon version, was more funnier.

The 4K version of this movie is unreal! I watched it and in my mind really wasn’t able to tell whether something was computer-generated or if it was real. And I am a software developer! Although, I do miss Nathan Lane’s voice and antics in the cartoon version but this movie is just fantastic.

This is ok but did not see much different than Previous releases. I would not have purchased if I knew what I know now before I purchased it.

This movie is excellent and a milestone in cinematic history due to its special effects. This steel book is the best edition to get of Lion King. It has a 4K and Blue Ray as well as all the added features, with the specials on how the movie was made being excellent.

The best of the Disney remakes are the ones that do something original. This is not that. Its virtually shot for shot the same as the original.

it is has been a year when by when this the lion king movie came out to the theater my girl and her mom when to see it but she still like to buy it when it came out to dvd and watching it again with the whole family . it is a very excellent movie

This movie was amazing and cute as well. I was surprise how disney took this animation movie to make this movie this way. Me and my family really enjoy this movie and this is really a big start, which i believe to make more animation movies this way.

I originally was skeptical with the L.A remake, but having finally watched it it was decent. It obviously doesn't hold a light to the original but when you consider they were specifically going for more a more realistic take, it can't adapt the more cartoony moments or the emotions on character faces. Though it did have some original funny moments, I find it hard to forgive them ruining one of the best songs in it (Be Prepared).

Disney needs to stop making their animated films into live action films that aren’t even live action because it’s all CGI. It’s uninspiring.

Visually Stunning 4k disk! Amazing picture quality. I had low expectations of this movie. I was fan of the original movie but it was not one of my favorites. This live action version blew me away when I saw it in the theater so I had to get it immediately when it came out on 4k blu-ray.

The music changes make for a weaker soundtrack and the realistic animals make for much less expressive characters. Not the greatest remake.

The Lion King is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. I was looking forward to the live action version, and I felt that it did a really good job of keeping with the original. Some things were left out, or changed, but not enough to upset me. It really is good.

This is okay film but in spite of the fact that has an all star cast it has lost some of its magic when compared to the original cartoon

If you have never seen the orginal, you may enjoy this, but if you have, it is just disappointing and lacking the magic of the original

I took a chance and picked this up on sale. I was hoping it would be good and not just fall short of the cartoon we all grew up loving. Actually was amazing the picture and sound. Amazing story, and for not seeing the classic since i was a kid. I’m very happy with this purchase.

This was the first of the Lion King movies that I actually purchased. In my opinion, the on-screen "live animal" characters and the behind-the-scene actors were very well matched. The overall attitudes and voices meshed so well with each character.

I think the movie is okay but I am impressed with its technical merits. I’m a huge fan of Donald Glover and feel that he was kinda underutilized. The 4K steelbook is great though. I would highly recommend it for collectors, fans of this film, and Disney fans in general.
