Had reservations about this one after some early reviews. Have the animated original and have seen the Broadway show twice. The visuals and cinematography were astounding. Great picture and sound. Plus you get a DVD version for your spare room player and a digital download!

I was concerned that a "live-action" version of The Lion King would be a miserable disappointment compared to the animated film. It isn't. On the contrary, not only is the CGI and animation AMAZING, the variant story also holds up. Well worth watching!

This is one of those Disney remakes. There is only one Lion King and that is the animated one from the 90's. This one really offers nothing new except the amazing visuals. They really are breathtaking and you forgot you are watching a 100% cgi movie at times.

I must admit that i got this for my daughter who begged me to get it. I however will say no one will be disappointed in watching it, it was will animated, directed and acted.....if you like the classic "Lion King" you will like this one better!!!!

Growing up with Lion King as a child I knew I had to take my kids to see this. We loved it so much in theaters that we bought it day one on Blu Ray. It looks great at home and the kids love watching it again and again. Worth the purchase for your Disney movie collection!

Disney could have done better with the CGI it’s TOO life-like and could have been a touch more animated. They butchered the music

We love the Lion King movie period, but this movie outdid itself, the 4K quality is awesome, the sounds are beyond accurate and real, the movie matched the original at about 90% in my opinion, we have watched this movie over six times with my kids, and grandkids .

While the original animated movie can never be topped, this live action (or real life CG version) is still a wonderful absolutely beautiful film. In 4k the picture is breathtaking. The realism is like no other film to date. Well worth the purchase.

One of the best live action Disney movies made! The Lion King is an amazing movie so seeing it in a different way is fun and enjoyable. The CGI is great which some other live actions aren’t. If you love the Lion King, you’ll love this version.

I love the remake everything like the original cartoon. The animated movie look so life like I was amazed the color, the scene the animal look so real so good like if I was watching discovery Channel. I love it I enjoy it and watch it like five times already.

I love the steelbook case this movie came in. I'm a huge Lion King fan and worried about the movie being any good. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't terrible. If you have seen it pick it up and the added tough of the special edition steelbook case is nice!

If you want to Show Off your 4k blu Ray player and need content worthy of your tv and player abilities then buy this movie. Everyone who has watch this on my tv has been shocked in a good way. One of the most realistic and beautiful picture I’ve seen.

I was, of course, a fan of the original Lion King back when it first came out, so I was skeptical about a remake. This movie was simply beautiful. The CGI on this was astounding. Same story, but still worth watching just because of how beautiful it is.

This was a great movie! The animation was top-notch. It was so realistic it made me forget I was watching computer animated effects! It had heart, great songs, and the feel of the original. I was not disappointed in this one at all.

Great special effects and some of the voice work was decent, but overall it lacked the soul that the original possessed.

Some things you can only do in animation, and this live version falls flat against the original. Film looks great in 4K.

On the whole, this was a very unnecessary remake, but the visuals remain strong and has a near perfect UHD presentation.

This is coming from someone who grew up watching the original cartoon one loved it but this “live action” and I use that term loosely as this is still technically animated..this is just a bad version of the cartoon they took everything that was amazing about the cartoon and just took the amazingness out of it an dulled it down to a bunch of boring musical numbers and bad retelling of the story..

Movie was good but really liked the animated version much better. Music and character voices could have been better.
