Excited for Disney to come along and re-release some Disney classics in 4K. Not excited to get the steelbook, upon opening and it’s damaged, and Best Buy basically said oh well.

If you haven't seen Lion King by now, seriously, what is wrong with you? One of the greatest movies ever made, and my personal favorite animated movie of all time! I'll be honest, I'm not looking forward to the live-action (CG) remake, because it will not shine as much as the original.

believe this... my son (15 years old at the time) wanted this movie for one of this easter presents! we had it when he was younger but past alot of our movies down to to small children. so we were in best buy and he saw this movie and says we need to get it again cause it is awesome!

Well what can I say... grew watching Disney movies and well I haven't watched this one in a long time and can honestly say I don't remember it like I use to since it been so long. So I honestly needed to watch it again so I bought it. It really did bring back some great childhood memories!!

Its like watching it for the first time. The Steelbook is really cool. I have a Samsung QLED TV and a Vizio Surround Sound system so the movie looks and sounds amazing. The movie is not true 4k because it was only made in 2k, however still looks better than the Blu-ray.

Nothing really to say about The Lion King since it's one of the all time classics. I am a bit disappointed with the overall release -- Disney added a few new bonus features, but either dropped many of the old bonuses from the Platinum and Diamond releases or relegated most of the other extras to Digital Only which defeats much of the purpose of buying the physical disc, and dropped the 3D disc from the prior release. Digital is OK, but since Disney now controls the items and if they decide at some point to remove them then it's no different than paying $30 for a rental. I prefer to own and control what I pay for. The Steelbook is an OK design, but certainly less than stellar artistically

Just buy this classic, whether you've seen it or not. The bluray is primo, and the 3D is some of the best ever. The extras are plentiful and lengthy with a mix of newly produced and previous special edition DVD sets with featurettes, commentary, deleted scenes and many documentaries to satisfy everyone. Just buy it!!

Of course this movie is an easy 10 out of 10 and it’s one of Disney’s finest animated films of all time. The uptick in resolution and the added HDR color grading only add to the already fantastic experience.

Bought The Lion King a while ago and finally had the chance to watch it in 4K and it's absolutely amazing. If you have a 4K TV that supports Dolby Vision and love The Lion King, I definitely recommend getting this then. Also, the steelbook is so beautiful.

One of the best (if not the best) Disney movies is finally free from the vault! Everyone should own this movie. This is still very much a classic and is great for kids and adults. Make sure to pick it up within the next year or 2 before it inevitably goes in the vault again.

After all these years, still gorgeous as ever. Now I got the steel book, the Target digibook, et al. These version still have more special features than available before. The combination of tragedy and comedy still works. Not a dreary moment. Worth the purchase, definitely.

Loved the packaging, got the steel book edition because it was and still is my all time favorite disney movie! everything was great and included a few extras such as small framed films and other little trinkets. No defects were found so Im pretty thrilled with my purchase.

One of the best Disney, and maybe movies ever made. A true timeless classic, The Lion King knows how to hit every emotion, for every age. Keep this movie this movies legacy alive, and thank you best buy for this steelbook anniversary, tons of never before scene extras! A+

One of the all time greats, I remember when the Lion King First came out and I took the kids to see it. This just brought back a lot of good memories. This movie is just as it was when it first came out a great movie for the whole family, buy it and treasure it for years.

The animated landscapes of Africa look and sound great with this transfer. The steelbook could have used a little more, but it still has some nice touches. Just wish it had a little more color. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with this purchase, as I was.

sense I watched this movie long time ago.. this movie touched heart, so beautiful and great for family enjoined togueter, I love Africa animals and this movie has it all even the great songs..

some say this is a rip off of a Japanese anime...some say is one of the best Disney animated movies. I see this as Hamlet for kids, great story, great animation, great songs, great voice acting. love it comes with Digital version so we can see it everywhere.

the movie is awesome, one of my favorites and the purchase experience at Best Buy was top notch. From the great price to the excellent service I received - I could not be happier. I will continue to purchase from Best Buy and highly recommend that others do the same.

I personally take credit for this movie being re-released. I don't know how many times I called the Disney Movie Club and asked when they were going to release Lion King from the vault. This movie is classic and timeless. Best Buy made ordering it a breeze.

The Lion King is such a significant achievement for the Disney studios. They put out the cash and got Elton John and Hans Zimmer for the music to go with Tim Rice's lyrics, underscoring the great vocal talents working with a fine script and the expected visuals.
