As it is one of my most favorite Disney movies, I had very high hopes for the long awaited Blu-ray release of this film. I am very happy to say that this one, (as is true with most Disney releases) was well worth the wait. Yet again Disney has presented us with a pristine version of a very beloved film, and has stocked it to the gills with bonus features to satisfy you desire for more under the sea fun. I do have to say that while I enjoy watching the 3D conversions of older Disney movies, it isn't exactly my preferred viewing method. That is not to say that Disney has done a bad job of converting them to 3D. They actually have done a quite good job to be honest. I just like to watch it exactly as I remember it when I would take my little brother to the theater so we could watch this in the theater. I think I took him to see this six different times! So as special as this movie was to me, the Blu-ray release was highly anticipated, and was definitely worth every penny. Disney does an amazing job with their Diamond collection releases and this one will make a very welcome addition to the collection.

What a charming film! So cool to see hand-drawn animation again, complete with some human-made flaws (Ariel's face is drawn inconsistently in some scenes). But Ariel's naivete and charm, brilliantly voiced by Jodi Benson, quickly draws you into her story. Then, by the time you reach the musical numbers, Part of Your World and Kiss the Girl, catchy songs weaved perfectly into the story, you can't help but be reeled in (pardon the pun). But be aware that initial pressings of this film featured an error in the editing towards the end of the Part of Your World number. It's a little minor and most folks probably wouldn't realize the editing error. But Disney have fessed up to it and will send you a replacement by contacting them. The film and restoration itself it the typical top-notch Disney quality. There are however, several issues with cuts and fades that were mistakenly changed in the 3D release. Disney has started a free disc replacement program for the 2D Blu-ray and regular DVD, with a turnaround of about two weeks. Disappointingly, they apparently will not be fixing the 3D, however. Nevertheless, a must-have for the collection!

This is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies (or of any movie, for that matter!). The storyline keeps your attention and the music is so entertaining and catchy; you'll find yourself singing along to it for a while afterwards! Don't miss adding this one to your collection!

We had really liked "The Little Mermaid" ever since it had been first released in the theaters. The mix of the story and musical numbers was perfect ... not only for children, but for all ages. Now, with the addition of the 3D element it has raised it up to a whole other level. Another reason for making our purchase of 3D components worthwhile.

I first saw this when it came out and my daughter loved it. Last year I was able to take my grand daughter to disney and she saw the little mermaid and fell in love. I looked for this for ever but could not find as it was in Disney's vault so when it was rereleased I picked it up fast. Now my grand daughter and I enjoy cuddling up and watching it.

I got this movie to watch it with my family. It was great!. The 3D effects were really good considering that this movie was originally made on 2D. My 14 yo teenager loved the effects. Do not hesitate to get this platinum version for a couple of extra bucks. It is worthy

I bought this blu ray for my children, as I enjoyed watching it as I was growing up. At first they are taken back by the old school style compared to the animated films of today, but once they got into it they were hooked. This film is fun, exciting, scary and tear jerking everything a classic should be.

Enjoy watch as Ariel grows fro a young mermaid to a princess in love with a land dwelling prince. Yes there is some troubles that Ariel must face and win. The package include the dvd and bluray copies of the movie. Enjoy sharing it with those around you.

I wasn't allowed to watch this when I was little. So I watched it with my cousins (who are younger than me) whenever I got the chance. We loved singing along. When I got older I bought it for myself. Love the old classic Disney movies.

Disney movies are really expensive so this was a good price and it comes with a DVD we can leave in the car for trips as well as the blu ray for the house. I wish it came with a digital copy but that's where MakeMKV comes in

The Little Mermaid is a top shelf Disney classic and its looks amazing on Bluray! The 3D is great, and is like watching the movie for the first time, an all new experience!

Such a Classic Movie. This movie should be in every families physical library. Looks great in UHD.

I personally buy dvd movies instead of blue ray because my kids are 3 and 6, they get ahold of them and scratch them. They are less expensive than blue ray and this works for me. Awesome movie!

This is a classic. What can I say about the movie that you don't know. The 3D effect is pretty good considering it's animated. A great addition to your movie collection.

This was my favorite movie when I was a kid, so it's amazing to now be able to watch it on something other than my old VHS player, plus all the bonus features are amazing.

We purchased this to let our 4 and 2 year old great nieces experience Disney history and have now watched the movie ourselves 3 times in 3D! Amazing remaster!

One of my favorite movies. I remember watching the movie in the theaters with my family as a child. The quality is impressive.

I have always loved this movie, but watching it on blu ray is awesome! Very nice picture and sound quality. Fun to watch with the whole family.
